LIKE GRASSHOPPERS

TOPIC: LIKE GRASSHOPPERS

SCRIPTURE: And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in pur own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight - Numbers 13:33

KEY THOUGHT: Who are you and where you?

Let me tell you that the appearance of a person is in what they think of themselves. The way you see yourself in your mind that is who you are.  But there is a greater influence of how your mind operates and that is the influence it creates on your character and attitude. Your behaviour is the flow of your internal person to the outside.
From today's anchor Scripture we see a people who say they are like grasshoppers and truly there are people today who are like grasshoppers because that is their mentality.
What is/are the features of this kind of people?
1. Mimicry: The grasshopper personality functions this way. What does this mean or what is the implication?
a. It means or implies that you are never original: You are unique and exceptional. God made you to be you maintain your original identity don't become a caricature.
b. It means or implies that such a person is a photocopy not a realcopy: Identity lost is reality lost.  It is destiny misplaced. God framed you for a purpose don't be pressured to mutate or change it. Trying to be what God didn't create you to be is to expose yourself to problems this is because imitation brings irritation.
2. Hop from grass to grass: One character of the grasshopper is hopping from grass to grass and field to field. They move from place to place. There are believers who jump from church to church they have no spiritual legacy and no spiritual walk. Such a person can never grow because growth is empowered by stability and depth. Depth determines your height and your height determines your reach.  Instability is a syndrome and factor that attacks spiritual growth.
God does nothing tangible with unstable and inconsistent people.
My counsel today is that don't be an 'all weather' believer, be who God wants you to be and impact your world for God.

WHAT TO DO: Decide not to be double standard in everyway.

PRAYER POINT: Father! Deliver me from double standard living in Jesus' Name.
