TREASURES OF GRACE (Daily Devotional)

TOPIC: PATHWAY TO HONOUR
SCRIPTURE: If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him - John 12:26
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Chronicles16:27
DIGGING DEEP: Honour is God decorating your life and ways with His glory. Honour is key to the elimination of shame. God’s desire for us is to see us operate in glory and honour not shame or reproach.
THE PATHWAY TO HONOUR:
1. The Presence of God (Psalm 16:11)
The Presence of God is a huge reservoir of honour. Anyone who is solidly attached to divine presence enjoys the stamp of honour.
2. Kingdom Service (Proverbs 27:18)
The anchor Scripture shows us that Kingdom service is key to honour. God always crowns faithful servants with honour. Faithful service is sure way to honour. There is a dimension in which you serve God and He drops honour on you.
3. Humility (Proverbs 15:33; 29:23)
Humility is what you are in your heart. Before David was anointed as king, Samuel wanted to anoint David's brother but God told him man choose according to sight but God looks at the heart. In essence before God gives any of His treasures, He will check your heart so it is with honour.
4. Impartation (Matthew 23:39).
Honour is a Spiritual law; once it’s violated you’re disqualified for Spiritual blessings.The prophet you dishonor will not reward you. The anointing you despise will not impart you. Honour is transferable from parents, pastors and from mentors.
If you follow Jesus doggedly you will be decorated with honour here on earth and in heaven.
I pray that the oil of honour comes upon you today in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord for every shame and reproach in my life i recieve double honour and glory in Jesus' name.
