TREASURES OF GRACE (Daily Devotional)

TOPIC: MOVING FROM REMAND TO DEMAND
SCRIPTURE: But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also [utensils] of wood and earthenware, and some for honorable and noble [use] and some for menial and ignoble [use] - 2 Timothy 2:20 (Amplified Bible)
MEMORY VERSE: 2 Timothy 2:21
DIGGING DEEP: Our anchor Scripture reveals that there is a great house having all sorts of vessels. This house refers to the church, and the vessels refers to the believers.
There are two types of vessels those unto honour [silver and gold] and those unto dishonour [wood and clay]· Interestingly, we all have our place, either as a vessel unto honour or dishonour. In the kingdom of God, you decide what kind of vessel you become. Your relevance is in the quality of our work with God not in the quality of work for Him. The vessels of wood can't stand the test of time they burn off when little challenge shows up. Vessels of clay are those who despite been in church still have the nature of sin ruling them, they are more carnal than spiritual, and are more traditional than godly. The vessels of gold and silver have been burnt over and over again. These one's have released themselves into the hands of the refiner and they have been refined and polished through and through.
However well designed a wooden or clay vessel is, God can not use it for noble purposes. But when you become a gold in the kingdom, God moves you from the back to the front, that is to say that God moves you from remand to demand.
Understand this the level of your usefulness to God is to the level of your yieldedness to Him. If you can't be burnt with the fire of God's word and of His Spirit, you can't be used for honourable tasks. Your usefulness is in your quality, your demand is in your usefulness.
I pray for you that grace to yield to God is come upon you today in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord work on me until I become gold indeed in Jesus' name.
