TOPIC: PRAISE FROM THE PIT
SCRIPTURE: 9 But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the LORD.’ ”
10 And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. - Jonah 2:9-10

MEMORY VERSE: Jonah 2:10
DIGGING DEEP: Progress is achieved by commitment. And every time we walk over any Gods' given assignment there's always a consequence. This was who Prophet Jonah represents. He also represents one who is in total mess from personal decisions made. Maybe this year you have made decisions that have brought you into the pit financially, maritally, educationally and so on, you can turn the tables around by turning on the praise channel. Jonah was in the belly of the fish, in the darkest places of the earth and the first thing he did was to pray (Jonah 2:1-2). He continued praying and even made promises to God and nothing happened. Prayer is what we often know how to do, but friends if you have prayed and symptoms persist praise. Our text said that "But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the LORD". When Jonah praised things began to happen. And i tell you it will happen to you today too.
1) PRAISE PROVOKES GODS COMMAND: "And the LORD commanded the fish..." Gods order is the most powerful order in life. For instance Lazarus was dead and buried for four days it was the command from the lips of Jesus' that brought him back to life (John 11), also when deadly storm hit the boat the disciples were afraid but one command from Jesus' silenced the turbulence (Mark 4:41)
2) PRAISE PROVOKES DELIVERANCE: "...and it vomited..." Jonah. Maybe you are in a trap and it seems no hope insight praise can change the seasons of your life. Anything that has been swallowed up by the enemy praise will cause it to be vomitted back to you. Job 20:15 says that "He swallows riches, But will vomit them up; God will expel them from his belly."
3) PRAISE BRINGS YOU TO YOUR LAND: Jonah was returned back to land. Your land might be your destiny, your joy, your job, your marriage and so on. If you can praise God you will be returned back to it.
I decree that you come out of every pit like situation in the name of Jesus'

PRAYER: My Father my Helper by mercy pull me out of any form of helplessness in Jesus' name
