TOPIC: NEW EVERY MORNING
SCRIPTURE: 22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22-23
MEMORY VERSE: Lamentations 3:22-23
DIGGING DEEP: Every day the sun rises and we wake from sleep for a fresh start. Every year comes rainfall after dry hot season, the ground is hard and virtually barren but then comes rain drops and suddenly the ground is bursting forth with irrepressible life. All of these are examples of the change that is experienced during the beginning of new things. Every new thing has what makes it new. Waking up each day means waking up to a new you, waking up to new realities and opportunities. God is not a stale God that is why He makes things new for His own each day. One new thing we experience every day is: HIS MERCIES. We live in a world that demands justice everyday. The justice system of this earth (cosmos) is full of judgements of depredation and prejudice. The greatest thing for us as believers is that God is the Chief Judge of your life and of the whole earth. He does not judge the way the earth judges, He rules and judges with mercy. His mercy overrides the judgement of sin, the judgement of the devil, and the judgement of man. Listen God does not adjourn proceedings every day He closes case files by mercy and opens up new case files by mercy. That's why the Bible says that "our sins He remembers no more" (Isaiah 43:25). Beloved He closed that file yesterday when you knelt down and said Lord I am sorry. Our text reveals three things about Gods' mercies:-
1) GODS' MERCIES PROTECTS US: "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed..." The mercies of God is what keeps us from things that would have wasted us, wasted our destinies, wasted our joy and so on. The mercies of God delivers us from the consequences of our sins and short coming. The mercies of God up turns satanic legalities in our lives.
2) GODS' MERCIES IS A PRODUCT OF HIS LOVE: "...because his compassions fail not." Gods' love for you is irrational and incomprehensible. It has no factor content. Gods' love is so wide, so high and so deep. One thing that is consistent with love is mercy. God is love Himself and hence He is full of mercy. If you are in love relationship with God be sure that you will enjoy His mercies.
3) GODS' MERCIES IS A PROOF OF HIS FAITHFULNESS: "...great is thy faithfulness." Faithfulness reveals the integrity and consistency of God. What makes Gods' mercy consistent every day all year long is His faithfulness. Friends anything God said about you, and promised you through His word He will do it because He is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).
Remember this today that God is not mad at you, He is only mad at your consistent mistakes and even as He waits for you to grow up and mature He keeps showing you mercies.
I pray for you today every satanic verdict on your life and destiny be revoked by mercy now in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord I receive new mercies today in Jesus' name.
