The Divine Burden

Image
Title: "T he Divine Burden" Short story by Dr Joel Dabbas  In a quiet village, Mary found herself in the midst of an extraordinary journey that would forever alter the course of her life. A divine burden, she carried within her womb the promise of something miraculous. Yet, the weight of this revelation wasn't only felt in the swelling of her belly. Mary bore the silent shame of a tale too fantastical for those tethered to earthly logic. To them, her immaculate conception was a perplexing fairy tale, an enigma that invited whispers of doubt and judgment. As her belly grew, so did the burden of rejection and scorn. The skeptical eyes and hushed criticisms formed a storm around her, a tempest of humiliation that only intensified with each passing day. She became a parable of faith, a living testament to the unfathomable ways of the divine. Joseph, her betrothed, faced the internal struggle of a man torn between love and reason. Convinced of her betrayal, he contemplated ...

THE GENEALOGY OF JESUS THROUGH THE GOSPELS

Image
THE GENEALOGY OF JESUS THROUGH THE GOSPELS (The Teaching Ministry of Dr Joel Dabbas) The most important birth was the birth of Jesus. If the world could correctly read the script of prophecy the best hospitals would want to have Him delivered in there. Probably they would've been so proud that the doctor who took His delivery would have it engraved on his epitaph. Imagine today, it would have become a sight for pilgrimage and tourism. The value of Christ's birth is so great that it affects both time and eternity. His birth was the factor for the restoration of man back to God. His birth showed that God is God of love, mercy and forgiveness. His birth shows the power of God and that there is no impossibility in God. So, that is why both the old testament and new testament spoke about Jesus and the four Gospels never started until they introduced Jesus. The four Gospels wrote remarkably about Jesus and presented diverse dimensions to the person of the Christ. Matthew  prese...

MARY: A CHARACTER OF ABSOLUTE SURRENDER AND BELIEVE IN GOD

Image
MARY: A CHARACTER OF ABSOLUTE SURRENDER AND BELIEVE IN GOD (The Teaching Ministry of Dr Joel Dabbas) SCRIPTURE:  " And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. [34] Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? [35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. [36] And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was ca...

MARY THE VIRGIN

Image
MARY THE VIRGIN (The Teaching Ministry of Dr. Joel Dabbas) Anchor Scripture: Luke 1:26-38 KJV "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, [27] To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. [28] And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. [29] And when she saw him , she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. [30] And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there sha...

MARY: A DIVINE SEED BEARER

Image
MARY: A DIVINE SEED BEARER (The Teaching Ministry of Dr. Joel Dabbas) Luke 1:31; 35 KJV "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." One of the  many characters of of God is that He is the Giver of seeds. God has the nature of building great things from a seed. In every generation, God puts His seed in men through whom He would eventually build greatness and His Kingdom. For instance through Abraham He planted the seed of covenant so has to raise a generation (Israel) that would carry His name on earth. Mary carried the seed of God and birthed Jesus to the world. Matthew 1:23 KJV says that "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emman...

JOSEPH AND MARY: A KINGDOM RELATIONSHIP MODEL

Image
JOSEPH AND MARY: A KINGDOM RELATIONSHIP MODEL (The Teaching Ministry of Dr. Joel Dabbas) True love relationship models in our today's world is increasingly becoming scarce. The enemy is all out to ensure that the sanctity of relationships is no more. But in all of these, we can look into Scriptures and follow powerful relationship and family examples that is well pleasing unto the Lord. The word o f God holds in it the principles for every aspect of life including relationships. To be armed with kingdom relationship principles is what makes you maintain true kingdom modeled relationships. Joseph and Mary's relationship shows us a lot of principles that will help you maintain kingdom order. Principle #1 : They are rooted in God Both Mary and Joseph were kingdom citizens. They were not unequally yoked together. This is a very powerful principle you must never ignore. There are a lot of believers today who are busy dating people who have no roots in God. If your believe syste...

LIMITATIONS OF BUILDING A SOLID KINGDOM PLATFORMS

Image
LIMITATIONS OF BUILDING PLATFORMS There is something God has given to everyone of us in the kingdom. It is unique but yet powerful for the spread of the influence of our King here on earth. Hiding your ability is stifling your impact and wasting your capacity. Matthew 5:14-16 KJV says that "[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Jesus tells you in plain terms who you are. You are the light of the world. There is gross darkness in our world today (Isaiah 60:1-2). That is why God made you the light for the nations and the continents. Now, for you to shine for the world to see, you will need to be set on a hill, like I stated in the post titled The Power Of Building a solid ki...

THE POWER OF BUILDING A SOLID PLATFORM

Image
THE POWER OF BUILDING A SOLID KINGDOM PLATFORM  Luke 11:33 KJV No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. Matthew 5:14-15 KJV Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. The word platform means many things in different spheres let me share a few with you: In Social media platforms refer to  online platforms and tools that allow people to create, share, and exchange information and content with others .  In technology platform is  a group of technologies that are used as a base upon which other applications, processes or technologies are developed . In personal computing, a platform is the basic hardware (computer) and software (operating system) on which software application...

LORD CAUSE ME TO LAUGH

Image
LORD CAUSE ME TO LAUGH "And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me."  Genesis 21:6, KJV To laugh is an expression of joy, happiness and and gladness that is overwhelming. The scripture told us that at 91 years Sarah gave birth and she began to laugh. This laugh was triggered by supernatural humour. You know, there are things God will do for you that will be humorous. That the only way to respond is by laughing. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.  —Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4, ESV There are seasons for everything under heaven including time to laugh. And permit me to pray for you, in as much as life us a mixture of good times and bad times, may your good times be more and more than the bad times, in Jesus name. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.  —Luke 6:21b, ESV Types of laughter and triggers of...

O LORD SHOW ME MERCY

Image
LORD SHOW ME MERCY "And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. [47] And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [48] And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [49] And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee."  Mark 10:46-49 KJV The kingdom of God is in every believer but the gains of the kingdom is only possible by revelation. One of the keys to operating on a different Cadre in this realm is understanding. The more insight you have, the heavier and mightier the manifestations you will produce. One of such mysteries you need is the revelation of the mercies of God. In Exodus 33:19 Go...

EL ROI

Image
EL ROI Genesis 16:13-14 KJV "And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? [14] Wherefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered."   One of the greatest gifts is the ability to see. The gift of sight is one that cannot be traded. I remember when I was in primary school, i had a challenge with my vision,   it was so bad that I was not allowed to open my eyes. I was having plaster and couldn't  stay under the direct ray of the sun. This was because if I came under the sun i felt as if my eyes was going to come out. Until God miraculously healed me. This experience alone gave me a first hand chance to understand the value of sight or vision. Now, one character of God is that He sees. Our God is not blind. Psalm 94:9 KJV says that   "He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see ?" ...

NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD

Image
NOTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD All through Scripture (the Bible) are many proofs that points to the fact that nothing is too hard for God. From the opening of Scripture in Genesis 1:1 we see that God created this magnificent world from nothing all through to the very end in  Revelation 22:21 KJV  "The grace  (the manifold  abilities of God) of  our  Lord   Jesus  Christ be with  you all  Amen." All reveals this truth unto  us.    Genesis 18:14 KJV says that "Is any thing too hard for the Lord ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."   Jeremiah 32:17 KJV says  that  "Ah Lord God ! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee" Jeremiah 32:26-27 KJV says that "Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, [27] Behold, I am the Lord...
