TREASURES OF GRACE (Daily Devotional)
THURSDAY, 26TH JANUARY 2017.
TOPIC: PUT ON
SCRIPTURE: Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil - Ephesians 6:11
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Samuel 17:39
DIGGING: Every sportsman is always well kitted up for the match. Our text says "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against". What you put on determines what you can confront. You can't be powerful until you are equipped and fortified.
Power is the leeway to progress. It defeats stagnation and provokes change.
David was going to face Goliath and King Saul put on him his personal war equipment, but David was unable to move freely. Many believers are grounded and rendered ineffective because they are putting on the wrong things. To be empowered to perform is to put on Gods' armour. Your armour determines your harbour.
The power you are connected to determines what you can do. Your standing in life is proportional to what you put on/equipped with. Your connection with grace is your connection with power.
Until you upgrade what you put on in the Spirit you can't reveal who you are in Christ. It is time to turn on what has been given to you by God.
The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you, Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
You can't develop if you are not enveloped by the power of God. Then you can quench every fiery darts of the enemy. Understand that we are in a battle ladened age and God wants to build you up into His war equipment. So that the church can be brutal against the devil and his forces.
Remember this: Until you put on the armour of God your ability to stand is unsure.
PRAYER: O Lord i refuse to become satan's soft target, help me to put the whole armour of God.
