SEEDS OF GRACE (Daily Devotional)

TOPIC: THE FORCE OF IMAGINATION
SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them , which they have imagined to do -- Genesis 11:6
MEMORY VERSE: Romans 1:2
DIGGING DEEP: Imagination is the ability to see in the mind mental images of something that doesn't exist. It is also the ability to see inner picture of object situations that don't exist yet. Imagination is the creative realm of man. Imagination helps man to dig out from the internal space realities that has not appeared as truth. Man uses imagination in several ways. There are two types of imagination positive and negative. The negative imaginations is what we should cast down and place in submission to the thoughts and knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). If we can't pull negative imaginations down, it will pull us down.
God said "nothing can be restrained from them that which they have imagined to do." God Himself recognized how powerful our imagination can be. Even the devil can't stand it. You need to create a powerful imagination. But this is only possible if our hearts and mind is totally connected to God. That is why all the devil tries to do is to influence our imaginations by focusing our mind on the realities around, and so breeding fear (False evidence appearing real) in our hearts. By doing so he conquers man and puts him in bondage. But if we will realign our imagination to the truth (that is the word of God) we will stand in victory. The word "restrain" used talks of resistance. See if we are restrained in our hearts and minds we will experience resistance in our lives. For instance poverty is lack of power to create positive and productive imagination.The Reason why many lack money is because they neglected the power of imagination.
Listen we can never experience the power in the word of God if we can't translate it from word into mental pictures. When our imagination is filled with pictures of Gods' healing power, of Gods' favour on us, breakthroughs, financial abundance and so on then we can translate it into physical reality by the force of faith.
From our text we can infer that:
1) Imagination births invention and Creativity.
2) Imagination is key to the future. 3) Imagination determines our level of success. 4) Imagination is what produces ideas. 5) Imagination one of our greatest asset against the most formidable enemy.
Imagination is Gods given innate power that should always be used to His glory.
Remember that anything you imagine from the word of God is empowered to materialize.
I pray for you that from today any ungodly thing that has taken over your imaginative space is arrested right now. I decree that you will begin to think and imagine things in alignment to God's will and pattern in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: I) I realign my imagination in conformity to Gods word in Jesus' name.
II) I pull down any imagination projecting evil into my life in the name of Jesus.
