TOPIC: JOY PROMOTES HEALING
SCRIPTURE: A joyful heart promoteth healing; but a broken spirit drieth up the bones - Proverbs 17:22 ( Darby Bible Translation)
MEMORY VERSE: Proverbs 18:1
DIGGING DEEP: Proverbs 17:22 tells us that there is a relationship between the condition of the heart and the condition of the body. There is a relationship between physical and spiritual health. “A crushed spirit dries up the bones” literally means it sucks out the marrow of life from the bones.
"In the presence of God there is fullness of joy" (Psalms 16:11). So in effect no divine presence, no joy. Joy promotes divine presence and the presence of God eradicates sicknesses and diseases.
BENEFITS OF BEING JOYFULNESS AND MERRIMENT.
Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
1) Medicine can either be curative, or prophylactic so is joy.
2) Joy is a divine attractant: Any where Gods' presence is, there will be joy there. Joy flows anywhere God lives.
3) Joy is an anti depressant: It has been confirmed that depression is the cheap cause of suicide, some people are now alcoholics and smokers believing it would relieve them. These are all satans trick to track people down. The joy of the Lord is a powerful antidepressant, because joy flows anywhere God lives. Gods presence jacks our hearts out of depression, and oppression of the enemy.
4) Joy is a Spiritual energy booster: "...the joy of the Lord is your strength". Anywhere joy flows the energy of God is cheaply available.
5) Joy attracts blessings and changes our countenance: Psalms 89:15 says "Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance."
Remember this if you are praiseful, you will be Godful and then you will be joyful.
I pray for you today any form of emotional breakdown, physical ailments and disease in your body be destroyed today by the invasive power of Supernatural joy in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord fill me up with your joy today in Jesus' name.
