THE LAWS OF KINGDOM SERVICE

THE LAWS OF KINGDOM SERVICE

The Teaching Ministry Of  Dr. Joel Dabbas

“I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27).

“A disciple is not above his teacher or a slave above his master” (Luke 6:24).

The sole reason for our creation is to serve God. There is no one that is truly spiritual who won't serve God. The true response of a soul who have genuinely encountered the benevolence of God's saving grace is to serve Him. Everyone that ever amounted to anything in the kingdom were servants of God.

Service is the surest way to show God that all of us is for Him. Service is to be engaged in your major assignment on earth. When life comes to an end, our lives can only be summarized by the level of service we offered to God's kingdom, and to people. No service to God and humanity, no legacy in time and eternity.

Now, that we know what service is all about, it is important to know the laws that governs productive, reasonable and worthy service unto God. And i will deal with a few here:

1. THE LAW OF HUMILITY

Humility is a major necessity for effective and profitable kingdom service. Humility is a sign that your flesh is mortified and the influence of flesh on you is annihilated. The more selfless you become the more you serve without reservation.

Micah 6:8 KJV says that "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" To have a good walk with God humility is key. Nothing corrupts service like arrogance and pride. If you doubt me, ask Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:12-15 "till iniquity was found in thee." Your service to God  becomes stale and irritating to God until pride is found in you. Lucifer sinned without temptation; he was an inventor of iniquity. (Ezekiel 28:17) Perhaps, one of the reasons God hates pride is because it reminds Him of Lucifer.

1 Peter 5:5 KJV "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Pride will deprive a man of the honour service is to bring (Proverbs 15:33). Greatness in the kingdom ebds when a person allows pride to creep in. Give God humility and He’ll supply you honor. Never allow men to praise you to hell. Never allow any achievement get into your head. Clothe yourselves with humility. Don’t wait for anyone to tell you how your voice sounded. On account of any money you gave to the kingdom, never raise your shoulders. Serve God with all humility. Refuse to raise a generation of Christians that will raise shoulders while they look down on other believers. Never look down on other believers. God will not give his glory to a church or pastor, or anyone (Isaiah 42:8). Anytime people allocate praises to you, redirect it to God. Let God have all the glory (John 15:5). If you sang well, preached well, fasted well, God is the vine, you are the branches. ‘Without God you can do nothing’. Without God, you are nothing.

Without God, preacher, what can you do? Without God, you prophet what can you proohesy. Without God what sigbs and wonders can you perfirm? Why are you moving about as if you did something? If God removes his grace from you, you’ll see nothingness and emptiness. God will never leave you! If you serve God dismissively and humbly.

God does not pay you in the currency of the physical, He pays you with a currency called grace. That is why every true servant of God always grows and increases in grace.

2.THE LAW OF HONOUR

To serve in this kingdom well and profitably you must honour. First, your service to God must be from the stand point of honour unto Him. Secondly, honour vessels god have set over and above you.

To be a leader is a great honour; whether it’s in politics, government, education, it doesn’t matter. To be called a leader of people is always a great honour. However, to be a leader in the house of God is even a far greater honour, because that’s a role that belongs to Christ. It’s about His work. It means some of His work has been given to you. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Notice that He didn’t say, “Let us build my Church”; rather, He said, “I will build my Church.” Part of how He builds His Church is through those He’s appointed to lead and teach His people; the leaders of the Church. That is why Apostle Paul tells us that we are co-labourers (1 Corinthians 3:9). Every part of the work that we carry out to fulfil His vision is a huge responsibility, because it means He’s carrying it out through us. If you serve God from this sought of posture of honour, everything we do in His name is from the point of reverent awe and a high sense of previlege.

3. THE LAW OF SUBMISSION

Submission is surrender to the authority of God. An 'unsurrendered' person is an 'unconquered' person and so it is difficult to receive instructions for service. In my walk with the Lord I have come to discover that the marks of true and total submission to God are brokenness, yieldedness and willingness. A life that is submitted to God is one totally given and sold out to God. This makes you what Apostle Paul calls himself "A bond servant" of our Lord Jesus Christ. One that is totally submitted to God will not:

i. Wait to be motivated to serve

ii. Does not want a thank you from others

iii. Does not lag or drag his or her feet to serve

4. THE LAW OF LOVE

Service is a proof of affection (love). Acts of service is a love language. You can’t claim to love or value God if you are not interested in serving Him.

The mark of true kingdom stewardship is that people are truly in love with God. Any service or sacrifice done for the kingdom that is not on the basis of love for God and for people is useless.

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor , and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 KJV)

5. THE LAW OF OBEDIENCE

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46

Obedience is an action word, it drives the physical manifestations of the submission and convictions of our inner beign. Obedience helps us to pursue what God asks us to do without asking questions. The greatest example of obedience and service was given by the Lord Jesus Christ when He said, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42).

Obedience is a submitted will to a course stronger and greater than ours. It is saying YES LORD without counting the cost implication.

6. THE LAW OF COMMITMENT

"Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" (John 4:34). The same way God sent Jesus to the world to do His work, He has also sent us to come and do His work. Your life does not belong to you, your talent and strength do not belong to you, your resources do not belong to you, they all belong to God for the service of His Kingdom. The attitude of Jesus to Kingdom service is worthy of emulation. Jesus referred to the service of the Kingdom as His meat. He derived great pleasure and sweetness in the service of the Kingdom, rather than attaching pains to it. Today, a lot of people prefer physical meat and pleasure to the Kingdom assignment. Jesus also said He must finish the work God had sent Him to do and that was why He said on the Cross “it is finished“. You must also strive to finish God’s assignment for your life. In order to finish the work you have been assigned to do, you must be hardworking and very zealous. John 9:4 says, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Jesus saw the work of God as a must and not just a wish. It is something that must be done. Commitment to Kingdom Service is serving without ommiting anything that you where assigned to do.

7. THE LAW OF SACRIFICE

Every service to God must come at a cost. That is what sacrificial service entails. A cost less service amounts to a worthless service. 2 Samuel 24:24 KJV "And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver." Refuse to serve God conveniently. Refuse to serve God only when there is no risk; serve God sacrificially. Don’t only do for God what is convenient. Go out of your way and do things that place demand on your time, energy and resources for God. God knows the things we have to give up for God. God watches! Your level of sacrifice will determine your level of fire. Let your service for God affect your regular schedule. Be willing to give up certain rights and privileges, comforts, pleasure in the course of serving God. Come to the point where God will see that you are not working because it is comfortable, but serving because we believe him.

THE SOURCE OF ENDLESS JOY

        THE SOURCE OF ENDLESS JOY

Written by Joel Dabbas

Joy is vibrant happiness that gushes out of the heart of a person. Studies have shown that joyful people have less chance of having a heart attack, maintain a healthier blood pressure, and tend to have lower cholesterol levels. There's research to prove that joy boosts our immune systems, fights stress and pain, and improves our chance of living a longer life. Many people have situation induced joy: One which comes only when one experiences a favourable or good event. The shortfall of having situation based joy is that life itself is full of bends and curves. There are times life will come with challenges, and also the devil (the number one enemy of all mankind) is always forging and orchestrating situations against you. This is because the enemy dislikes seeing people happy.

Now, let me introduce to you the root of ceaseless and unimaginable joy.

#1 The first key to ceaseless joy is SALVATION

Salvation is receiving Jesus into your life and making Him your personal Lord, Saviour; and King. The coming of Jesus into the world of any person provokes and releases joy.

Luke 2:10-11“Don’t be afraid,” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great JOY to all people. The Savior – yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!"

Salvation is to become a citizen of heaven. Salvation is the spirit of a man returning back in surrender to its Maker: It is restoring the spirit, soul and body of a person to the one who originally owns it - God. Salvation is to be marked from destruction. Salvation is coming under all that Jesus paid for on the cross of calvary. When a person pledges his or her allegiance unto God and totally renounces the works of darkness submitting to a life of holiness and righteousness, the whole of heaven bursts into joy (Luke 15:7). Salvation brings eternal joy.

Psalm 95:1 says that "O come, let us sing unto the Lord : let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation."

If you have lost that deep seated joy that salvation brings to the spirit and soul of a man, with all desperacy say  O Lord "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit" (Psalm 51:12). If you have not given your life to Jesus say dear Lord, i confess and repent from all my sins now. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. Forgive me Lord and give me Your matchless grace to live a life worthy and pleasing unto You in Jesus name.

#2 The second way to enjoy ceaseless joy is THE PRESENCE OF GOD:

The presence of God is not just in a place alone. For instance Gods presence is not only in Church meetings. Infact one of the character of God is that He is omnipresent. He is everywhere at the same time. But the manifestation of the presence of God is not palpable everywhere. If you have the presence of God inside of you; also if you furnish your relationship and fellowship with God all the time. The darkness of heaviness, gloomness and depression have no hold on you.

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:11)

To have full joy and to be full of joy, have Gods presence with you.

1 Chronicles 16:26-27"The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround Him; strength and JOY fill His dwelling."

#3 The third source of ceaseless joy is THE WORD OF GOD

Jeremiah 15:16 - Your words are what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul. They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me. How proud I am to bear your name, O Lord (TLB).

The word of God is the capsule of joy. The word invades the shadow of grieve and sorrow; and diffuses them away. Remember, when Mary was grieving for the loss of her only brother Lazarus? When she met Jesus, Jesus told her "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" (John 11:40). If you can chew the word of God in the time of grieve, sorrow will scatter from your heart. The word of God carries around her the power and the glory of God. When I was in the university there was a moslem lady who had carryover. She was heart broken and crying. I met her on my way to night studies. I spoke with her and comforted her. She suddenly looked at me and said where did I get all these words I just spoke to her from? I told her they where from the Bible, she said she felt relieved and weight lifted off her just listening to the word I spoke to her. She told me that she had earlier spoken with her imam but ended up more depressed. When the word of God hits your world, incomprehensible joy erupts in you.

#4 The fourth way to function in ceaseless joy is INTIMACY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT:

One of the fruit of the Holy Spirit is joy (Galatians 5:22). The Holy Spirit is joy Giver and joy River.

#5 The fifth way to function in ceaseless joy is EXISTING IN THE ATMOSPHERE IF WORSHIP:

Every genuine worshipper cannot be joyless. The principle of worship is two fold: first is the principle of coming before an altar or a throne. Second is the principle of sacrifice.

Every worshipper comes before an altar with incense and before Gods throne with adoration coupled with sacrifice. So as you establish yourself in genuine worship to God, you exchange your pain for His joy; you exchange your shame for His glory. The strength of worship is revelation: In Matthew 2:2 the wise men from the east said that "Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." The more you know Him the more you will worship. The more you worship Him, the more joy you encounter.

I decree that your life will be overshadowed with you from above in Jesus name .

May the tears in your eyes be wiped away in Jesus name.

PRESERVING FAVOUR

By Joel Dabbas

SCRIPTURE: “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” – Psalm 5:12

There are many people who pray for favour and afterwards they miscarry and loose it. God wants us to be continuously and permanently blessed. He intends that the life of the righteous should remain the epicentre of His manifold favour. Favour is not just a mysterious showing that changes the life of a person. It is a spiritual system that can be operated by knowledge to the secret codes behind it. Todays anchor Scripture reveals that favour is a shield placed around the righteous. The word shield speaks of a defense system. Now many have allowed this defense system to be broken down and so they don't enjoy that spiritual facility called favour. How then can favour be sustained?

1.Godly existence (Psalm 5:12): Every righteous person is guaranteed of a favour shield round about. It is a spiritual default system placed around a godly person. So godliness sustains favour.

2.Character: Many loose favour to their lack of character. Characterlessness brings favourlessness. If you want to obtain, retain, maintain, sustain and to enjoy God’s favour you must develop Godly character. Godly character positions you for favour. As a child of God, if you position yourself rightly, you will enjoy long-lasting favour. So if you want lasting favour, you must work on your character. Character is doing what is right even when it is not convenient. Character deficiency leads to favour deficiency. Finally, when favour is received by a man who lacks character, that favour will be lost and aborted. When favour comes to a person who doesn't know God, it is mercy and a way to bring such to God.

WHAT TO DO: Ask the Holy Spirit to groom you and be deliberate to see the word work on your character

PROPHETIC PRAYER: O Lord, help me not to loose opportunities of favour by negative character in Jesus name

How to do the works of God

TREASURE OF GRACE DAILY DEVOTIONAL (MONDAY 20TH JULY, 2020)

Written by JOEL DABBAS

WHAT MUST WE DO TO DO THE WORKS OF GOD

SCRIPTURE: Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent | John 6:28-29 (KJV)

During the earthly ministry of Jesus everyone could evidently see that He was not doing His own work but that of God. Everything in and around the ministry of Jesus reveals the Father. Every action was sanctioned by the Father. This hundred percent God move generated mind blowing results. Men saw the outrageous power of God, they saw the love of God, heard God spoke to their ears everyday for thirty three and half years.
Then in todays' anchor text, these people came to Jesus with a question. This question looked genuine, it looked like the question from the lips of one hungered for God, it resembled questions from the heart of one yearning desperately for God but alas it was a question just to know God and do miracles for their personal and economic gain. They had just been fed supernaturally and i feel they thought within themselves if they can operate in this dimension there will always be food in their homes and so forth. I truly wish it was a genuine cry from their heart. I wish it was a genuine desperation from a people looking to know God.
Jesus brought them in through the door of the spirit to show them how to begin the works of God which is to believe in the One He has sent. Believeing in Jesus is the primary demand for anyone who will manifest the works of God. Anyone that is truly born again can do the works of God.
Listen beloved, there are many believers today with false hunger. They fast, pray and study Scriptures but the bedrock of all of this is just so they could manifest the power of God. This is good but it is not complete and heaven will veto this thoroughly to see on what basis is this heartcry coming from. If it is from a heart which truly desperate for God then there is an introduction into more of God and effortlessly God manifests Himself in you. If you must truly experience God moving in you and through you then, you must be ready to believe Him deeply, intimately, honestly and totally. God cannot pour Himself in a selfish person. He cannot work through a selfish person who wants God for a personal goal or agenda.

PRAYER: O Lord, I seek You in all genuineness and sincerity. I ask that the content of selfishness that has neen the bedrock of my pursuit of You is eliminated now in Jesus name.

REMEMBER THIS: "Believe is a spiritual conception tool. It helps you to conceive what is in God and so receive from and of Him. That s why there is no receiving without believing" - Dr. Joel Dabbas

PRAISE IN THE PAIN

Praiseinthepain https://www.postermywall.com

                         PRAISE IN PAIN
                                            Written By Joel Dabbas

Life in itself is challenging: a curve of many sorts with dimensions of transitions; but even if it is top of the mountain or deep valley experience you are going through right now, I want to assure you that God is with you and it will end in praise.

A times precious people pass through very tough situations. The things they are encountering sometimes seem so overwhelming that it seem as if there is no answer. There are times that as we pray unto God answers were released instantly, and there are instances where it took time. But in all of it God always prevails.
Also there are even times when it looks as if God is not answering at all and it seems there is no help insight but I have discovered that in this kind of faith trying situations just like Abraham we must increase our faith dimensions, float in another frequency and realm of faith (Romans 4:18). So such situations triggers more faith and believing because in all assurance there is no failure in God.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says that "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (NIV). If you didn't read that carefully you would reason that the Scripture is saying that it's God's will or that it was God who fashioned that pain, or distressing circumstances you are passing through. But that Scripture means that thanks or praise is God's will for you. So as you pass through different challenges, what God desires from you is praise. Not complain nor fear. If you can turn that pain into an avenue of praise God will breakthrough for you.

3 things that happen as you praise through pain:

1. It is a statement of your faith in God and your love for God
Romans 8:35-39 KJV "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

2. It builds in you expectation for the miraculous
2 Timothy 1:12 KJV "For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

3. It activates systems of supernatural help
In Isiah 41:14 this is what the Lord said "Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, says the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel" (King James 2000 Bible). The "worm Jacob" speaks of weakness, frailty and absence of strength. So even if you are weak and have no strength God will help you: help you overcome the challenges and pain.

Finally, in Isaiah 30:19 Scripture says that "For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee" (NIV). Beloved, weep no more. Turn your tears into praise. Turn your pain into praise. It might not be easy but it is worth it.

Shalom!!
