TOPIC: WHY WORRY? 

SCRIPTURE: 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?' | Matthew 6:27-31

MEMORY VERSE:  Matthew 6:27

DIGGING DEEP: Worrying means war in a hurry. It is pitching yourself against forces that seems to be beyond you already. When you begin to worry it means that there is a need.
People that need help are those who are facing things that seemingly are beyond them. And people who get help are those who know they actually need help and request for help. Our Lord is our helper. That is why He is called Jehovah Ezer. If it is beyond you, it is certainly not beyond God. If it is above you, nothing is above the throne of God.
Why war when the Lord of Hosts can handle it for you.
Matthew 6:27 shows us three things about worries:
1. Anything that does not add to you is not worth worrying over.
2. Anything that is not relevant to our life and destiny is never important.
3. Anything that won't make you grow is not an important issue to worry over. Because Christ said why worry if it can't add a cubit to your stature.
Anything that won't grow you, can low you so don't worry about it.
You are God's major project on earth, you can't be left to waste. Your development, growth and advancement in the major concern of heaven.
Finally understand that worry can make one make hasty and unrewarding decisions so therefore never allow it's root in your life.
DECLARE THIS: I am the child of God, He is mindful of me, He has good plans for, and i know it is coming to pass in Jesus' name.

 PRAYER: O Lord forgive me for been overtly anxious and full of worry. I recieve peace from above today and i conquer all fears now in Jesus' name.

SCRIPTURE:  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life | John 6:63

MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 12:32

DIGGING DEEP: 
Words are like seeds they have the capacity to be planted, have ability to germinate and grow. Words have implications on earth and in eternity. Jesus said that we will give account of every idle word spoken (Matthew 12:36). The word idle means worthless, useless and empty words. What makes a word to be useless?
a. Words are useless if they are not consistent with the language of God: there is a way gangsters talk and there is a way ‘God-stars’ talk.
b. Words are worthless if they are spoken to edify flesh
c. Words are useless if it advertises sin rather than promote God
It is necessary to speak the right words because words are spiritual agents that when released, works to bring into effect the intent and purpose of its delivery.
Remember learn to daily speak Gods word over your life. Because as you speak it your life is quickened, grace is released and life becomes easy.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit touch my tongue and help me to always speak the right word that will cause a revolution in my life in the Name of Jesus.

TOPIC: SPIRITUAL PATHOLOGY III

SCRIPTURE: Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you | Matthew 9:29

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 4:40

DIGGING DEEP: Another sickness of the spirit man, which is also highly contagious is FAITHLESSNESS: A state in which there is perpetual lack of faith. Those suffering from this disease condition do not have the capacity to draw spiritual evidence into physical reality.
They don't always believe God's word. They debate God's promises. This type of people always want God to make sense, so they discard the truth of God since it does not fit into there intellectualism.
They are full of fear. Because their heart has become the theatre of the devil.
Faithless people in a more serious sense have fainted or are at the point of coma in the realm of the spirit. Because in this kingdom the righteous lives by faith (Romans 1:17). 
They lack the power of God and do not experience it. In this state, there is gross inability to please God (Hebrews 11:6) because they are not purified by faith (Hebrews 15:9).
A faithless believer is more deadly than a thorough unbeliever (Hebrews 10:38). 
John 11:40 said "Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto there, that,  if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? This implies that:
1. Faithless people do not experience the manifestation of God.
2. There is link between faith and glory.
3. The more we believe in God the more we become glorious in all ways.
CAUSES OF FAITHLESSNESS: A. Backslidding
B. Lack of the  hearing and study of the word of God.
C. A heart full of intellectualism: An unnecessary anallysm of God's word.
TREATMENT: Daily study the word and regularly listen to tapes and watch videos of anointed servants of God.
Practicalise what God has told you from His word
Finally, faith is the working platform  of the miraculous power of God.

PRAYER: O Lord help my faith in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: SPIRITUAL PATHOLOGY II

SCRIPTURE: 40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" | Matthew 26:40-41

MEMORY VERSE: Romans 12:12

DIGGING DEEP: When the physical body is sick there are obvious signs to show for it. So it is with our spirit man. If it is sick there are obvious signs to shows. Today we will look at another obvious condition that is seen when the spirit is sick: PRAYERLESSNESS: This is a condition of partial or total inabilty to pray or commune with the Lord.
CAUSES: 1. Allowing activity replace connectivity with God: When you delight in other activities rather than spending time with God is a gradual pull into backslidding. Anything that can hamper with your appetite for prayer can cripple your relationship with God.
2. The presence of sin: Prayer fire can be easily quenched by the presence of sin. Sin weakens your ability to sustain Divine presence. Sin pulls you from the glory realm (Romans 3:23) which is the realm of God.
3. When we are carried away and overwhelmed by challenges of life it is possible to become drown away and become prayerless but this is what David said " I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than i" (Psalm 61:2). Jesus is that rock He is higher than any of lives challenges, higher than any issue. He has the answer. Don't allow situations take you away from God but rather let situations take you to God. Jesus was on the cross ladenned with pain, sorrow and anguish but yet He prayed, He called on the Father 
( Luke 23:46). 
Our anchor text says that pray we don't fall that is to says that "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." This implies that:
a. Prayer gives us strong immunity against temptations.
b. Prayer makes the will of the Spirit more powerful than the weakness of the flesh.
Prayer does not just make you powerful but makes you stay healthy in the realm of the spirit. A prayerful christian is bouyant in the realm of the spirit because prayer builds a constant robust relationship with the Lord.
Prayer gives you regular instant contact with God and it translates into Divine impact in your life.
TREATMENT: Identify the cause. Ask the Lord for mercy if sin is the issue. Begin to practice Praying by having a regular quiet time with God.

PRAYER: O Lord i break free from anything initiating prayerlessness in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: SPIRITUAL PATHOLOGY

SCRIPTURE: I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food | Job 23:12 (New American Standard Bible)

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 119:11

DIGGING DEEP: Pathology deals with understanding the nature of disease and its causes, processes, development, and consequences. The spirit of a man can be sick. I mean that a person can get to a point that there is lack of fire, zeal, passion and enthusiasm for the things of God. And outrightly become a backslidder. There are alot of process that cummulnates in this whole general spiritual break down. Let us see one Pathology that cripples the spirit of a person:
LOW LEVEL AND LACK OF THE WORD OF GOD: This is a major spiritual disorder. A state whereby there is absolute absence of the love to read and study the word of God.
When this state continues one becomes low and  deficient of the word of God. The lower the word of God in us, the more flesh prevails. The more the word in us the more we become like God.
The lack of the word of God in you leads to the lack of Divine instruction, lack of His instruction is high way to destruction.
TREATMENT: A. Stay with the Lord no mattter what. John 6:68 says that "Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life." 
B. Build, and generate a deep love for the word of God: "I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food."
C. Give the word space to build you: Acts 20:32 "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."
Finally, commitment to the word of God is commitment to a change of living and this empowers the expression of God's glory in our lives. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."

PRAYER: O Lord i recieve appetite for your word in Jesus' name.
I make my spirit available to your word from today in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: THE POTTERS TOUCH

SCRIPTURE: 1The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. 3Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it | Jeremiah 18:1-4

MEMORY VERSE: Jeremiah 18:4

DIGGING DEEP: Jeremiah was asked by God to go to the Potter's house to see the activities going on there. What does this imply?
A. The Potter's house signifies the Church or the presence of God.
B. The clay signifies members of the body of Christ.
C. The Potter is God; and
D. The activities of the potter signifies what God is doing in our lives.
LIGHT TO RUN WITH FROM OUR TEXT
1. God is doing something in our lives: We are not  abandoned projects, God is up to something in our lives. God is at work producing vessels out of us.
Vessels are needed for different types of assignment. We all are meant for different assignments in the kingdom, we don't make ourselves, God makes us.
God is interested in making us. That is why He is busy building us up.
2. God does not use every clay, He uses clays that are present in the potters house: It means that it is your availability to God that determines what God will produce out of you. For instance the more a clay touches the hands of the potter, the more it is converted into a vessel.
Let me reinterate it again, the more available a clay is in the hands of the potter, the more work is done on it. The more we release ourselves to God the more He works on us. We then continously are changed into His image and we move from glory to glory.
3. God always turns clays into vessels: A vessel is one that God can pour Himself into. It is one that can carry the virtue of heaven. Clays can not.
Finally, been a clay is to be in the unrefined state but becoming a veasel is to be purified and throughly2 worked upon by God. In this state self is arrested and the life of Christ finds full expression in you.

PRAYER: O Lord work on my life and make me into a worthy vessel in Jesus' name.

ALL SUFFICIENT GRACE

TOPIC: ALL SUFFICIENT GRACE

SCRIPTURE: 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me  - 2 Corinthians 12:7-9

MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 4:16

DIGGING DEEP: Our text reveals something intresting to us. Apostle Paul had a thorn in His flesh that he had earnestly asked God to take it away from him. He had a challenge, an inadequacy, a pain, a weakness and insufficiency. God did not take the pain away but instead God supplied grace for the insufficiency. This reveals that:
1. The grace of God is the linker to all sufficiency
2. Grace is a force that pulls any kind of supernatural supplies
3. Grace can terminates insufficiencies and inadequacies in our lives.
4. Grace is never threatened by the presence of a 'thorn' but shines in it.
5. The ability to accomplish God’s tasks does not rely on our adequacy, but on God's sufficiency.
It was the discipline of God's grace that made Paul strong.
I like you to notice what God told him "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." This means that grace is the strength of the spirit. A graceless christian is strengthless. It also means that when grace arrives it overcomes imperfections and upgrades you into perfection.
Hebrews 4:16 says "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Grace is the answer for every need in your life. Grace is the multi faceted dimension of the operation of God.
Grace is the treatment for every deficiency in our lives that is to say that grace can be curative in effect, or prophylactic in activity.
Deficiency is what affects efficiency. But God's grace overhauls the resistance and brings God's assignment to pass through us. Two examples are Moses a stamarer, another is Isaiah with speech impairment and has low self esteem. When they encountered grace their inabilities became inconsequential.
Finally, God's grace gives stability despite your inability to accomplish Divine tasks easily.

PRAYER: O Lord i recieve grace to deal with every deficiency in my life today in Jesus' name.
