TOPIC: THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU
SCRIPTURE: For as many are led by the Spirit of God,they are the sons of God.
For ye have not recieved the spirit of bondage again to fear:but ye have recieved the spirit of adoption,whereby we cry,Abba,Father.
The Spirit Itself beareth witness with our spirit,that we are the children of God:
And if children,then heirs ,heirs of God,and joint heirs with Christ;if so be that we suffer with Him,that we may be also glorified together - Romans 8:14-17
MEMORY VERSE: John 3:6
DIGGING DEEP: One of the results of redemption is that we become coheirs with Christ and heirs of the kingdom of God. Understand that the kingdom is not of this world but of the Spirit, so we can not express the kingdom on earth if we are not Spiritual. And what makes us Spiritual is the Holy Spirit in us.
Three levels of the dealings of Holy Spirit in us:
THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES BIRTH TO US: To be born of God is to become the offspring of God. The nature of God is implanted and takes you over replacing the nature of sin that we have acquired and has gripped us. This happens when you become born again. In the natural a father is responsible for the child for instance he pays every bill for the child, trains the baby and so on. So it is also with God, He might take care of the whole world but He is not absolutely responsible for those that are not His offsprings.
To be born of the Spirit is to become a Spirit, because everything gives birth according to it's kind (John 3:7-8).
THE HOLY SPIRIT FILLS US: We are all born again, but we all dont carry the same measure of the Holy Spirit. This is because our level of yielding and our capacity to contain Him differs. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to build in you capacity to contain the Holy Spirit. This is where the evidences of the Spirit is revealed in you. A point where your spirit and person becomes a portal and known venue where God is and dwells. Understand that the Holy Spirit is an infinite Being released into our finite person, so we need to yield to Him to enlarge us by Himself, expand us by Himself, train us by Himself until His very self fills us to infinity (Acts 2:4).
THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS US: The directives you respond to and the orders you take, determines who has made throne in you. To be directed by the Holy Spirit is to live life acting the scripts of the Lord by the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is to be under the control of the Holy Spirit. It also means to be steered by the Holy Spirit.
When you allow the Holy Ghost to take the lead in all you do and allow His opinion the topmost then, you are led (Romans 8:14).
Finally, the Holy Spirit is the energy of God in us that propels us to do the unimaginable.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit express Yourself in me and through me in Jesus' name.
