TOPIC: REWARDS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS
SCRIPTURE: 1st Samuel 17:22-25
22 David left his things with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines and asked his brothers how they were.
23 As he was talking with them, Goliath, the
Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it.
24 Whenever the Israelites saw the man, they all fled from him in great fear.
25 Now the Israelites had been saying, “Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his family from taxes in Israel.”
MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 40:12
DIGGING DEEP: Solving problems is the cost of becoming a champion. It is the price you pay to rise high. Every where we are confronted by challenges, although we are loved by God, He will bless us for what we do.
For every challenge God uses an instrument that He has prepared. Problems is the stage God as prepared for the earth to see His glory revealed through you. Great men are not people who run away from problems but those who confronts it. The blessedness of great men is in the problems they solve. Understand that you will be remembered for two things: the problems you solve and the problems you create.
Your assignment is in the problem you were created to solve. We are wired differently by God for different assignment. What God hands over to us determines what we will be remembered for. Moses was given the job of delivering a whole nation, from four hundred years old captivity, Jonah was given the responsibility of turning a whole nation back unto God, Noah's was the responsibility of building the ark and so many others and so time and history cannot forget them.
Our text revealed that there was a problem at hand for fourty days morning and evening Goliath confronted Isreal and challenged them, the army and king of Isreal ran away to take cover instead of confronting him to takeover. But as soon as David heard him, he picked up the challenge and confronted the issue.
THREE REWARDS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS
1. WEALTH: "The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him..." The secret of great wealth is in the problems we solve. Name any wealthy man on earth today and i will show you the problems he's been solving. If you dare to solve any problem today, in the next few years you will be get into uncommon wealth.
2. ROYALTY: "...He will also give him his daughter in marriage..." Nothing places a common/ordinary man in the league of royalties like the problems he's willing to solve.
3. FREEDOM: "... will exempt his family from taxes in Israel." It is possible to live in the same nation but we don't enjoy the same privileges because nothing exempts you from what others struggle with like solving a problem. There are those who pay for things but there are those who all things are paid for. To move into this realm is to be willing to solve problems around you.
Beloved, nothing changes the seasons of our lives like our response to problems and solving them.
You are a divine ingredient sent to the earth to sweeten it by the solutions you give. There is a solution that is in you, until you discover it you will not be celebrated.
Remember this: Challenges are channels for change.
Today, i prophecy upon you recieve grace for uncommon discovery and solution in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord i refuse to run away from problems rather i carry the capacity to solve hard issues in my family, nation and the world in Jesus' name.
