TOPIC: INCREASE IN VALUE
SCRIPTURE: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge — 2 Peter 1:5
MEMORY VERSE: 2 Peter 1:6
DIGGING: As a child of God your value is far above rubies. Your worth is not about money but about stature. The impact you make determines your worth and value to men.
HOW TO INCREASE IN VALUE
a) INVEST IN PEOPLE: What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. Selflessness is key to impact. Tabitha in Acts 9:36-43 lived the lives of impact so much so that when she died people knocked at heavens gate for her restoration. If nobody remembers you for anything you have done then you lived an impact less life while you were there. When you impact people, you continue to live even after you are long gone.
b) INVEST IN KNOWLEDGE: Job 13:2 says "Everything you know I also know, you are not inferior to me." What makes some people superior in life and others inferior is in what they know. If you increase your knowledge base, your asset base will increase and so your worth and value will also increase.
c) INVEST IN PRAYER: Jude 20 says "Building up yourself in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." If you invest in prayer you will grow in the Spirit and you can solidly impact your world powerfully.
d) INVEST IN STUDYING GODS WORD: 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth." No word in you no impact on earth.
d) INVEST IN SOUL WINNING: Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." When you preach Jesus to the world you are giving them eternal value.
Beloved, Do more than exist— live. Do more than advise—help. Do more than speak—impart. Do more than encourage—inspire. Do More…Do more than exist—live. Do more than hear—listen. Do more than agree—cooperate. Do more than talk—
communicate. Do more than grow— bloom. Do more than spend—invest. Do more than think—create (John Mason). Today switch—Add value to your self and to your environment.
