SEEDS OF GRACE (Daily Devotional)

TOPIC: WORD ENCOUNTER
SCRIPTURE: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life -- John 6:63
MORY VERSE: John 1:1-2
DIGGING DEEP: There are words and there are words. There are mere words, weightless and just normal but there is a word so powerful, so real and so full of God. This word had a physical human expression. This word created the earth, and John 1:14 says that this word "became flesh and dwelt amongst us, we beheld His glory as unto the glory of the Father full of grace and truth."
Five components of Gods word:
1) IT IS SPIRIT: The word of God is not flesh oriented words but are spiritual words. They are filled with the Spirit of Jesus. "It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the words I speak is Spirit..." Every day you read, and listen to genuine word from God you are dining and communicating with the Spirit of God. Hence you experience liberty because where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17)
2) IT IS LIFE: "...the word I speak is...life." The life from the word is sweeter and more interesting than the life of oxygen. The oxygen life is temporal. But the life of His word is eternal and can be experienced.
3) IT IS FULL OF GRACE: The word of God is not deficient in graces; it is full of grace. Financial grace, family grace, business grace, just think of any type of grace it is in the word.
4) IT IS FULL OF TRUTH: The word of God is truth in own itself. It is not truth because of an opinion poll but because it is from God of all truth.
5) IT CARRIES GODS' GLORY: The glory of God is the beauty of God, it is what announces God, it is the essence of God, it is the identity of God. If we encounter His word, we encounter His glory and it makes us totally different in every way.
Listen beloved you can not have the word of God and not be filled with truth, with grace, with life, with glory and with the very Spirit of God.
Today remember that anytime you are reading, studying or listening to the Bible, you are in touch with this five components of the word of God. Draw from it until you begin to manifest the full nature of the word of God.
PRAYER: O Lord! I want to experience the four components of your word in my life in Jesus' name.
