FOCUS: THANKSGIVING 

 

SCRIPTURAL FOCUS: Psalm 92:1

Thanksgiving is an act of appreciation and gratitude.

Thanksgiving unto God therefore is the act of celebrating, glorifying, being grateful for what He has done for you and who He has been to you.

Every giant in the Bible was known for Thanksgiving. For example Jesus always gives God thanks. At the tomb of Lazarus Jesus said  "thank You Father, because You hear me always." He was thankful for answers to prayers.

Again Jesus was handed five loaves of bread and two fishes, He lifted it to the Father and thanked Him, it all multiplied.

Thanksgiving is a spiritual force that causes the amplification of God's goodness in our lives

Thanksgiving is a product from a grateful heart.

If you can think or be retrospective about what the Lord has done in your life you  will always be thankful.

Two levels of Thanksgiving 

1. Thanking God for what He has done (Luke 17:15-19)

2. Thanking God for what He will yet do:

John 6:11 KJV

"And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."

John 11:41 KJV

"Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me."

This is faith in action. Imagine thanking God for healing when you are still physically sick. 

Imagine thanking God for that job, that property, that business, that car and so on even when there is no hope insight of having them.

Imagine thanking God for that child who is not yet in alignment with the will of God.

Imagine thanking God for the great things He will do for you in 2022.

Imagine thanking God for breaking yokes and lifting you in 20222

Imagine thanking God for open doors in 2022

Imagine thanking God for making you enter into your prophetic session in 2022

Imagine God fulfilling His covenant and prophecies to you in 2022

Imagine and imagine and think and thank God

It is going to be an amazing year!!!

PRAYER POINTS 

1. Father, we appreciate Your goodness and mercies in my life and family the year 2021. Thank You Lord for all the testimonies and manifestations in the year 2021. To You be all the glory Lord in Jesus’ Name (Ps. 103:1-5; Psalm 105:1-2)

2. Father, thank You for the good plans and purpose You have for us in 2022. Thank You for the great things You will do for us.To You alone be all the glory, Lord in Jesus’ Name (Jer. 29:11)

3. Father, thank You for the Blood of Jesus that gives us access to the holiest of all. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who helps us to pray as we ought to pray. To You be all the glory, Lord in Jesus’ Name (Heb. 10:19, 20; Rom. 8:26-27)

4. Lord, just as Jesus lifted up five loaves of bread and two fishes, I lift up 2022 before you, multiply in my life special testimonies without number in Jesus Name 

5. O Lord, thank You for making 2022 my year of absolute rest from troubles in Jesus Name (Joshua 21:44)

6. Lord thank You for healing and impact in 2022

7. Thank You for ministry growth, and business growth in Jesus Name 

8. Thank You Lord because my heart will be on fire for You. My spiritual life will not go down in Jesus Name 

9. Thank You Lord for supernatural marriages,  supernatural help, supernatural speed, and favour in every area of my life in Jesus Name

JOURNEYING INTO YOUR DIVINE SESSION

There is a God orchestrated, divinely arranged and determined session for your life and destiny.

God is timeless but the effects of His moves is felt in our lives and recorded in our earth realm in times and sessions.

One thing you must understand is that God is orderly and does His will only. Many times we are burdened with the anxiety of 'when will it be; how is it going to happen' that our faith in God is threatened or affected.

The truth is that if you must get anything tangible from God, it will require patience, hope and total trust in His ways or process.

The manifestation of God is born in our time when we stay and stand strong in Him and on His premises.

God never reneges on His promises. I particularly like what the Bible said in Joshua 21:43-45 KJV

"And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. 

[44] And the Lord gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. 

[45] There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass."

I write this to encourage someone who is thinking of giving up, for someone who have waited so long for a miracle and for that person who is waiting for light to come out of a present darkness. Hear me my beloved friend, a new session is just in front of you. Your best days is yet ahead.

As you journey into your new session I want you to note the following:

1. Never loose touch with the presence of God
Exodus 33:14-15 KJV
"And he said, My presence shall go with thee , and I will give thee rest.
[15] And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me , carry us not up hence."

The loneliest road to travel is the road traveled without the presence of God.

2. Teach your heart to spy into the future you are journeying into

God deliberately told the children of Israel to go spy the land He had promised them. And when they did it, two types or groups of people emerged:
The first group was the faithless and realist group: This are the group of people who know there is a good place for them but lack the faith to drive it into reality. This set always end up as cowards and always chicken out of there God ordained session.

The second was the fath-filled and optimistic group: Only two persons existed in this group. These are bold and courages souls. Who can dare anything to get into what God has ordained for you.

A times God allows our mind and even our dreams to spy into what He has ahead of us and wait for our response.

Listen our response will determine how we truly feel the pulse of His heart and how we understand and trust His ways.

Beloved, you are journeying into a great future, into a blissful marriage, into great blessings and so on.

Finally, nothing kills dreams like fear, nothing buries dreams like faithlessness

It is a beginning of great and good things for you.

God is cleansing that secret tears

YOUR PROCESS AND YOUR PROGRESS

SCRIPTURE TEXT: Hebrews 12:2-8 KJV

I want you to note three (3) powerful truths:
1. Everyone has a path divinely ordained for he or she

2. God takes you through certain process so that He can protect His will and produce a product of glory

3. No one who will be valuable in God's agenda, valuable in time and in eternity that won't pass through certain process

Let me define a process for you:

My basic simple definition is this: Process is God placing you in His training field to bring you into His agenda.

God does not run an agenda-less scheme. The truth is that time and earth will eject anyone who has lived life to its fullest purpose.

Nothing defines progress like process. Proverbs 4:18 says that "the path of the righteous is like a shining light, it shines more and more into a perfect day." The meaning of this is simple:

I. Your dimension is in process: The statement "it keeps shining more and more unto a perfect day" describes the process. It starts gradually but never stops.

II. Also, you don't arrive at the place God intends for you over night. It takes process.
God can jump start your life today and bring you into glory in a very short time but the truth Is that, it is easier that way if you have passed through certain plains called process.

I want you to know that the promise is mined into reality by process. If God says A will happen in you life, in your time, or generation. It will take men of understanding to align to the process that will deliver it's utmost manifestation. 

Jesus told the disciples, if I go the promise of the Father (the Holy Ghost) will come but do something for this to materialize and manifest go to Jerusalem and wait/tarry (Luke 24:49). They left the mountain to the upper room and there they fasted, prayed, studied the word and had fellowship for 3 months. Then the promise came with great power. They immediately impacted their world and won 3000 souls for Jesus in one day.

There is no impact without process.
Power without process is fake.
God has no business with fake men. He does business with genuine people. These are those who can ascend into the throne of grace, those who can come into the hills of Elohim, the Monarch of Zion and do real kingdom business in His name.

All I am saying is that every child of God must have a concrete track record with God. This defines your process.

Process is deliberate God orchestrated systems to help His men value the place of glory and honour He is bringing them to.

There are classes of people and there are reasons why many have not attained the progress God desires of them:

The first class of people are those who missed their process: There are people who missed a phase in their process and it makes them not to be solid. This makes them unbalanced and can not become who they ought to be by God's standards.
There are many who are not solid in faith today because they missed this powerful growth face.

The second class are unfinished process: Some people abandoned the process.
A medical student that jumps out of school at year 5 (second clinical year) because he feels he has seen certain things been done in the hospital will always remain a quack.
Many are quacks in the scheme of God’s mandate for their lives, ministry and assignment because they couldn't stay to learn, grow and develop. I want you to know that it is only a wood that endures the fire that can be turned into coals of fire.
If you don't sit with God, you cannot become His fire coal to the nations of the earth.

Process is that phase whereby you not only see things but you touch things and handle things. It is the bone chewing phase that helps you develop essential muscles and strength.

People who genuinely pass through process become streams from which others draw from. They become pillars on whom others can lean on and learn from

Why many people don't finish their process:
1. Lack of persistent hunger

2. Lack of humility

3. Lack of patience
The rush for attainment is the reason many are flushed out of relevance and miss their divine mandate and crash out their manifestation

4. Comparing themselves to others

Finally, process is capacity building phase.

I like us to read this Scripture together as i close here for now.
1 Timothy 4:14-16 KJV
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. [15] Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."

People who do profitable things for God, do profitable things with their time and so on are people who have passed through certain process.
Process takes discipline to accomplish. I decree and declare that you will receive grace to walk through the process that will amplify your progress in Jesus' Name.
Ask God to give you capacity to stay with Him and grow daily in Jesus Name.

OPERATING IN GENUINE DOMINION 

An excerpt from the teaching ministry of Dr. Joel Dabbas 

Text: Genesis 1:28

In Genesis 1:28 God blessed man with the blessing of dominion.

To have dominion means to become a force on earth

To have dominion is the power over obscurity

To have dominion is to be a voice on earth 

To have dominion infers that God wants his man to have supremacy 

To have dominion is to have influence and control

Any believer that have capacity to control is a threat to the enemy. You cannot be in control and be tortured by the devil.

I want you to understand the meaning of what God said to man at creation. He said "let them have dominion." The meaning of "let them have..." means that you should own or possess dominion. When you truly possess dominion, you are upgraded into a realm higher than the common or ordinary. In this realm everything that is not in that realm is under your control. This is actually the realm of God: Dominion is the realm of God. Anything that is not in the realm of God, is under anyone that is able to possess dominion. So poverty, sickness, disfavour, curses, limitation, demons, the devil and so on are not in the realm of God so you have control over them.

Now, how is it that Elohim gave us access into His realm of dominion but not many believers are operating in this dimension genuinely. Why is it that there are still believers tormented, and controlled by the devil. Why is it that some believers are molested by sicknesses, diseases, poverty, scarcity and so on?

I will let you see some of the reasons for this:

The first reason is that many believers harbors what things that belongs to the devil: In John 14:30 KJV says that "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."

The Passion Translation of the Bible renders this Scripture this way " I won’t speak with you much longer, for the ruler of this dark world[a] is coming. But he has no power over me, for he has nothing to use against me." If the devil has any of his stuff in a man he will rule and control  that person. Nothing seeds your dominion to the devil like the presence of his stuff in the soul of a man.

Jesus had complete dominion while on earth because he does not have anything that is of the devil in him. If you have anything in common with the devil you downgrade yourself to his realm, hence he will control and reign over you.

Sicknesses, diseases, demons, death and so on trembled at the presence of Jesus because He does not have a common ground with the devil.

Secondly, totally receive the gift of righteousness: Romans 5:17 KJV "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" 

Righteousness upgrades you into the realm of dominion. Righteousness: To many people the thought of righteousness is like the thought of moral perfection something that is unattainable, something that because it is unattainable is also threatening, because it is perceived to be something that is expected of us, yet something we can never accomplish.

It is also seen by some to have a repulsive overtone, because 'righteousness' is associated with hypocrites and with people who are 'self-righteous'.

Because of these negative connotations many people, including many Christians, pass over the Bible's references to 'righteousness', and in that fearful passing over have disregarded one of the most powerful antidotes to the fear of judgment and failure that the Bible offers us.

The Bible teaches that 'righteousness' is a 'gift', and that this gift is 'God's abundant provision.' It is something that he gives to us, not something that he requires of us. It is required, yes. It is essential, yes. But it is not provided by us, it is given to us by God himself.

If you receive this gift of righteousness, you will automatically operate in dominion and you will rule on earth. Nothing rules or controls the one who have received the gift of righteousness. Ancestral powers,  familiar spirits, sicknesses and so on cannot control your life and destiny. 

Beloved it is time to operate in genuine dominion.

I prophesy, you will rule even the midst of your enemies in Jesus name 

PRAYER: Lord by mercy anything that belongs to the devil that is removed in Jesus name

2 Chronicles 15:3 KJV

Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

The structures of the Kingdom is sustained by the teaching priest. God ordained it this way because it is through genuine kingdom knowledge that men are built. 

They reason why many are drifting away from Kingdom purpose and agenda is because of the presence of few genuine kingdom teaching priest's.

They reason why there are many weaklings in the body is because of the absence of genuine kingdom teaching priests.

We are in the last of the last days and one of the things that will characterize these times is that men will desire teachings that soothes them. Teachings that will pamper them and make them feel alright in their sin.

But in the midst of these I hear God saying I will yet raise my men. They will be my voice to the nations of the world. They will truly divide the Word of truth to countless many. Glory to God!

How Teachers teach and dimensions of teaching priests.

Teaching priests operates in two powerful dimensions.

Teaching can be Expository or Revelatory (1 Corinthians 14:6).

If you are teacher you must know which dimension you flow in. It will help you understand how God wants to manifest by His Spirit through you.

When an expository teaching priests ministers you the heart of the Father is truly revealed. 

When a revelatory teaching priest ministers, your eyes is opened to kingdom secrets

Also, as believers we must flow in certain gifts of the Spirit. So for instance a teaching priest that has a prophetic gifting, will not only teach but prophesy.

A teaching priest with the gift of healing and working of miracles will not only teach but operate supernaturally in miracles.

A teaching priest with the gift of interpretation of tongues will not only teach but interpret tongues and so on.

Matthew 21:23 KJV says that "And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?"

Teaching Priests after the order of our Lord Jesus Christ teach with the authority of the king and do great things for God.

The teaching ministry is a powerful kingdom asset that trims men and prunes men to be who they ought to be in God's Kingdom and the world.

I see a rise of true teaching priests around the nations of the earth in Jesus Name.

FLAMING FIRE

SCRIPTURE: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire - Psalm 104:4

 An Excerpt From The Teaching Ministry of Pastor Dr. Joel Dabbas 

Let me begin by letting you know that God is a Maker. The very first introduction of God to us in Scripture was that He is a Maker of things. In the book of Isaiah and in Jeremiah these prophets constantly declares this creative part of God by likening Him to a Potter. Our God can build, He can carve out great things from nothing. He is God. Hallelujah!

Now to our focal Scripture in Psalm 104:4 the Bible says that God makes His ministers ministers a flaming fire.

According to the Collins dictionary, a flaming fire means burning with or emitting flames; it is to glow brightly; brilliantly and radiantly. It also means to beam or burn with intensity or ardently; vehemently; and with great passion. Looking at these definitions it points us in two directions or are characteristic of:
1. The glory; and
2. Fervency
In other words God makes His ministers to beam His glory and He makes them fervent.
To become a flaming fire, you have to be made. That means there is a process you will need to go through with God and in God. There is a curriculum to be taken, lecture to undertake, a training and a forging that has to be done in your life.
Beloved, it is possible to burn: i mean it is possible that the vestige of your spirit being takes another form. The form of God's fire.
One nature of God is fire and to be one His true sons or daughters take on this nature.

A flaming fire is one God can give territorial assignments. A flaming fire can be a strong voice of God for his or generation. A flaming fire is a weapon for strange warfare. A flaming fire is a disaster to the kingdom of the devil.

HOW TO BE MADE INTO A FLAMING FIRE

1. Become a minister of God
This means to be ready to carry Gods message and speak it. There are alot of believers who are not ready to speak Gods message to their world and the world. They are only satisfied to sit in church every year without becoming a voice for God. There are alot of people who are ministers for themselves and their belly. They are not around to deliver Gods message to people but their own grafted message. A minister of God is a carrier of the message of God

2. Stay and be submitted to God
Every coal is a product of a wood who submitted itself to be burnt. If you don't want to stay with God and be submitted to Him, you are not ready to be made into flames of fire. In Exodus 34:27-30 KJV look at what happened to Moses
"[27] And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
[28] And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
[29] And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
[30] And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him."
Moses stayed with God for 40 days and returned beaming His glory. If you stay with God and humble yourself under His hand before long you will emerge a burning flame of fire.

3. Have a genuine hunger
This drives you more into God. The more you know Him, the more you want to know Him.

4. Dedicated word and prayer life
This is are the raw materials that churn men into flames. The word of God can set you on fire for life.

Exodus 34:27-29 KJV 

"[27] And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
[28] And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
[29] And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him." Moses was with God and interacting with the Word for 40 days. Moses was receiving, writing and ingesting the word of God into His spirit for 40 days and returned burning in blazing glory. Something happens to your spirit also when you spend time with the Word like Moses did.

WHY YOU MUST BECOME A FLAMING FIRE

1. Because God will have a need of you all the time

2. Because you will also cause others to burn
When the disciples became flaming fire in Acts Chapter 2 people from different nations came to watch them burn and 3000 souls were saved. A flaming fire is highly contagious. A pastor who is already turned into a flaming fire will turn everyone in his church into burning vessels. This is a spiritual system for endless revival in the church. Any child of God who is a flaming fire will become a mobile revivalist.

3. Because the world is growing in wickedness and it will require fire to swallow all the nonsense of the enemy around

4. Because flaming fires are bold, courageous and effective
That timidity to impact your world is arrested when you are made into a flaming fire

5. Because flaming fire kills lukewarmness and slotfulness thereby increasing your passion in serving God (Romans 12:11)
It takes fire to be fervent in serving the Lord. Nothing cages and hinders one from serving God like the absence of spiritual fire

Finally, becoming a flaming fire is to become a mobile fire of God. By this you become a fire starter everywhere you go. People talk with you and their heart burn for God. I am truly hungry to be a flaming fire minister whereby any encounter with me (by the help of the Holy Spirit) just as you are having now will turn you and people into not just fire carriers but fire themselves.
I pray for you become a flaming fire in this lukewarm world in Jesus name

THE LAWS OF KINGDOM SERVICE 

The Teaching Ministry Of  Dr. Joel Dabbas 

“I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27).   

“A disciple is not above his teacher or a slave above his master” (Luke 6:24). 

The sole reason for our creation is to serve God. There is no one that is truly spiritual who won't serve God. The true response of a soul who have genuinely encountered the benevolence of God's saving grace is to serve Him. Everyone that ever amounted to anything in the kingdom were servants of God. 

Service is the surest way to show God that all of us is for Him. Service is to be engaged in your major assignment on earth. When life comes to an end, our lives can only be summarized by the level of service we offered to God's kingdom, and to people. No service to God and humanity, no legacy in time and eternity. 

Now, that we know what service is all about, it is important to know the laws that governs productive, reasonable and worthy service unto God. And i will deal with a few here:

1. THE LAW OF HUMILITY

Humility is a major necessity for effective and profitable kingdom service. Humility is a sign that your flesh is mortified and the influence of flesh on you is annihilated. The more selfless you become the more you serve without reservation. 

Micah 6:8 KJV says that "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" To have a good walk with God humility is key. Nothing corrupts service like arrogance and pride. If you doubt me, ask Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:12-15 "till iniquity was found in thee." Your service to God  becomes stale and irritating to God until pride is found in you. Lucifer sinned without temptation; he was an inventor of iniquity. (Ezekiel 28:17) Perhaps, one of the reasons God hates pride is because it reminds Him of Lucifer. 

1 Peter 5:5 KJV "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Pride will deprive a man of the honour service is to bring (Proverbs 15:33). Greatness in the kingdom ebds when a person allows pride to creep in. Give God humility and He’ll supply you honor. Never allow men to praise you to hell. Never allow any achievement get into your head. Clothe yourselves with humility. Don’t wait for anyone to tell you how your voice sounded. On account of any money you gave to the kingdom, never raise your shoulders. Serve God with all humility. Refuse to raise a generation of Christians that will raise shoulders while they look down on other believers. Never look down on other believers. God will not give his glory to a church or pastor, or anyone (Isaiah 42:8). Anytime people allocate praises to you, redirect it to God. Let God have all the glory (John 15:5). If you sang well, preached well, fasted well, God is the vine, you are the branches. ‘Without God you can do nothing’. Without God, you are nothing. 

Without God, preacher, what can you do? Without God, you prophet what can you proohesy. Without God what sigbs and wonders can you perfirm? Why are you moving about as if you did something? If God removes his grace from you, you’ll see nothingness and emptiness. God will never leave you! If you serve God dismissively and humbly.

God does not pay you in the currency of the physical, He pays you with a currency called grace. That is why every true servant of God always grows and increases in grace. 

2.THE LAW OF HONOUR 

To serve in this kingdom well and profitably you must honour. First, your service to God must be from the stand point of honour unto Him. Secondly, honour vessels god have set over and above you.

To be a leader is a great honour; whether it’s in politics, government, education, it doesn’t matter. To be called a leader of people is always a great honour. However, to be a leader in the house of God is even a far greater honour, because that’s a role that belongs to Christ. It’s about His work. It means some of His work has been given to you. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Notice that He didn’t say, “Let us build my Church”; rather, He said, “I will build my Church.” Part of how He builds His Church is through those He’s appointed to lead and teach His people; the leaders of the Church. That is why Apostle Paul tells us that we are co-labourers (1 Corinthians 3:9). Every part of the work that we carry out to fulfil His vision is a huge responsibility, because it means He’s carrying it out through us. If you serve God from this sought of posture of honour, everything we do in His name is from the point of reverent awe and a high sense of previlege. 

3. THE LAW OF SUBMISSION 

Submission is surrender to the authority of God. An 'unsurrendered' person is an 'unconquered' person and so it is difficult to receive instructions for service. In my walk with the Lord I have come to discover that the marks of true and total submission to God are brokenness, yieldedness and willingness. A life that is submitted to God is one totally given and sold out to God. This makes you what Apostle Paul calls himself "A bond servant" of our Lord Jesus Christ. One that is totally submitted to God will not: 

i. Wait to be motivated to serve 

ii. Does not want a thank you from others

 iii. Does not lag or drag his or her feet to serve 

4. THE LAW OF LOVE 

Service is a proof of affection (love). Acts of service is a love language. You can’t claim to love or value God if you are not interested in serving Him. 

The mark of true kingdom stewardship is that people are truly in love with God. Any service or sacrifice done for the kingdom that is not on the basis of love for God and for people is useless. 

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor , and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 KJV) 

5. THE LAW OF OBEDIENCE 

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46

Obedience is an action word, it drives the physical manifestations of the submission and convictions of our inner beign. Obedience helps us to pursue what God asks us to do without asking questions. The greatest example of obedience and service was given by the Lord Jesus Christ when He said, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42). 

Obedience is a submitted will to a course stronger and greater than ours. It is saying YES LORD without counting the cost implication. 

6. THE LAW OF COMMITMENT

"Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" (John 4:34). The same way God sent Jesus to the world to do His work, He has also sent us to come and do His work. Your life does not belong to you, your talent and strength do not belong to you, your resources do not belong to you, they all belong to God for the service of His Kingdom. The attitude of Jesus to Kingdom service is worthy of emulation. Jesus referred to the service of the Kingdom as His meat. He derived great pleasure and sweetness in the service of the Kingdom, rather than attaching pains to it. Today, a lot of people prefer physical meat and pleasure to the Kingdom assignment. Jesus also said He must finish the work God had sent Him to do and that was why He said on the Cross “it is finished“. You must also strive to finish God’s assignment for your life. In order to finish the work you have been assigned to do, you must be hardworking and very zealous. John 9:4 says, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Jesus saw the work of God as a must and not just a wish. It is something that must be done. Commitment to Kingdom Service is serving without ommiting anything that you where assigned to do. 

7. THE LAW OF SACRIFICE 

Every service to God must come at a cost. That is what sacrificial service entails. A cost less service amounts to a worthless service. 2 Samuel 24:24 KJV "And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver." Refuse to serve God conveniently. Refuse to serve God only when there is no risk; serve God sacrificially. Don’t only do for God what is convenient. Go out of your way and do things that place demand on your time, energy and resources for God. God knows the things we have to give up for God. God watches! Your level of sacrifice will determine your level of fire. Let your service for God affect your regular schedule. Be willing to give up certain rights and privileges, comforts, pleasure in the course of serving God. Come to the point where God will see that you are not working because it is comfortable, but serving because we believe him.
