TOPIC: THE CHARACTER OF WINNERS: THE POWER OF SELF DISCIPLINE
SCRIPTURE: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway - 1 Corinthians 9:27
MEMORY VERSE: Proverbs 10:17
DIGGING DEEP: Self-discipline is the ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses. Indiscipline is a life where a person lacks the will-power to do what he knows to be the correct thing.
One of the greatest enemies of progress and advancement is indiscipline. A break down in discipline is the collapse of destiny. Proverbs 25:28 says that "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."
Every Divine agenda for your life won't take root if you lack discipline. It won't grow when your will is not submitted under God's will. Self control always puts you in alignment with the will of God, hence the manifestation of God's thoughts and plans for you.
A life of indiscipline is a life under danger and high risk. Because nothing hunts down great destinies like indiscipline. The greatest trap of greatness is the lack of discipline. For instance for the lack of self discipline Esau lost his birth right. He choose the enjoyment of food over valueable and enviable position he had. It was from that day in the realm of the spirit that he handed over his rightful blessing to his younger brother. Valuable things are lost if a person is devoid of discipline.
If you cannot control your anger, your appetite for food, coveteousness, too much sleep or lust for the opposite sex, you cannot get to the height God destined for you.
The products of self discipline:
1. FOCUS
2. COMMITMENT
3. ZERO COMPROMISE
Winners are throughly disciplined people, they don't allow junks and don't enjoy what others enjoy. They train themselves to say no to things that are detrimental to their goal.
Finally beloved, anything that will be detrimental to you making heaven, detrimental to fulfilling your destiny put them aside today, say no to compromise and enjoy all the things God has for you.
I pray for you today, recieve grace to discipline self in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord help me to prevail against flesh and to overcome wrong attitudes that hunts my fulfilment of destiny in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: THE CHARACTER OF WINNERS: THE POWER OF TRAINING
SCRIPTURE: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. [25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway - 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 9:27
DIGGING DEEP: No world champion in any given sport just emerge from the blues, they train before obtaining it. The truth is that process is a major key to greatness. When God takes you through process, it might be painful and uncanny but it will sure bring you into glory. Every elevation is a product of process. Even the outpour of grace and the anointing comes via process.
Our anchor text states that "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." For a believer training is a never ending process on the walk to the kingdom. Nothing makes one irrelevant like the lack of training.
Why is training important:
1. Empowers Us to Overcome: To overcome the world we must be trained in the school of the Spirit. God wants us to be overcomers and not people that are constantly slammed to the floor by satans antics every now and then (Ephesians 6:12-14)
2. Empower Us to Subject Our Body: One evident product of training is that our flesh is put under control. The body is subject to God and the laws of our Father.
3. It Disciplines Us: Nothing ends our connection to God like indiscipline. We must discipline ourselves to focus and pursue after the kingdom and it's righteousness.
4. In Training We Learn: In training you learn kingdom principles, you learn, practice how to listen and hear from God and alot more.
5. In Training We Make Corrections: Nothing empowers connection with God like correction from Him. God trims us and removes errors from us and our inner man is been renewed each day.
6. It Develops Us: We become developed and equipped for every good work.
How Do We Train?
1. Be A Word Addict
2. Be A Prayer Person
3. Be Engaged In Periodic Consecrational Fast
4. Be Totally Aligned To The Holy Ghost
I pray for you today, God is empowering you and His best will be revealed through you in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord i recieve the grace to be deligent and persistent in growing in You in Jesus' name.
I refuse to be tired in pursuing after You in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: THE CONTENDING CHARACTER OF WINNERS.
SCRIPTURE: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. [25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway - 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
MEMORY VERSE: Phillipians 3:14
DIGGING DEEP: A delicious meal does not just present itself, so many ingredients come together to make it happen. So it is with a winner. Our anchor Scripture highlighted great model of a winner.
Every winner started up as a contender: "Run in such a way as to get the prize" (v.24). True contenders are not pretenders, their zeal, passion and fire for God is inexhaustable. A contender is not one that is intimidated by the challenger. Paul one of the greatest Apostles said " I have fought the good fight of faith, i have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness..." (2 Timothy 4:7-8). It was contending that made him finish well and get the prize which is the crown. Paul was preaching at Lystra and was attacked and dragged out of the city seemingly dead, he got up headed back to the city (Acts 14): The meaning of this is that Paul was saying that physical violence can't stop me, terrorism can't deter me, i must strive, contend and never give up. There where times that Paul was chained and kept in prison but was yet writting the Epistles and reaching out to nations with the word of God: He was simply saying that i might be in captivity but not out of activity. In essence no chain can drag me to the point of inactivity for the kingdom assignment.
Three powerful characteristics of contenders:
1. Contenders Are Fighters: As we daily walk with the Lord we contend against three realms basically which are the realm of flesh, the social/societal realms and the satanic realm.
2. Contenders Are Goal-Oriented: Phillipians 3:14 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
3. Contenders are Active For A Course: They are not norminal but impact driven. They are people who carry fire in their bones.
Strong contenders are: Strong in faith and in attitude. They don't quit in difficulty but grows through it.
Finally, beloved kingdom contenders contend for the faith, contend for salvation and daily contend against all odds to have intimacy with God.
Today i pray for you that you will be ruggedly committed unto God no matter the challenges around in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord my King stretch forth your hands and give me unshakeable courage to contend for the high calling in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: THE MOVE OF THE SPIRIT
SCRIPTURE: 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters - Genesis 1:1-2
MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 1:2
DIGGING DEEP: Passing through life itself is sometimes described as "passing through the waters of life." For some the water of life is sorrowful, bitter and painful. They try to get rest but it isn't forthcoming. For some people their lives, career, ministry, family, job business is absolutely shapeless. It might be that someone left you and your life is seemingly empty and void or you are passing through desperately dark moments of life right now. Listen beloved there is never any event or circumstances in life that God cannot turn around. No matter the darkness in your life when the Spirit moves change begins.
It is commonly said that opportunity comes but once, and it seems that you have missed several of it. Beloved, If you lost time and opportunities before, God who creates times and seasons will create yet another for you.
Our anchor text reveals that the earth was in shamble, there was no shape, nothing was in it and there was darkness from its core to the surface. But the Holy Ghost showed up. The earth was an hope less case, there are cases today that doctors have termed hopeless, their are lives and families today that naturally people think that any good thing won't come out of it. If you are in such a case, the Holy Ghost can change it today. You might be helplessly taken in drugs, in prostitution, debt and all types of darkness. God is bringing light to your spirit now.
Three things to observe from our anchor Scripture:
1. THE HOLY GHOST IS A MOVER: The Holy Spirit moves and moves things. Having the Holy Ghost makes you a mover and shaker in this world.
2. THE MOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT SPONSORS CREATIVITY: The activity of the Holy Spirit in us empowers creativity (Job 32:8)
3. THE HOLY SPIRIT HEALS YOUR DEFICIENCIES: The earth was said to be "without" that is the show of deficiency. I don't know what is deficient in your life but by the word of the Lord, anything that is not in your life are fixed now. Yours might be job, marriage, joy, peace, opportunity just name it, God is fixing it up for you today in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit i submit to you today, move in my life in Jesus' name.

QUALIFICATION FOR THE ANOINTING

TOPIC: QUALIFICATION FOR THE ANOINTING
SCRIPTURE: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power - Acts 10:38
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 23:5
DIGGING DEEEP: The anointing is the most important thing on earth. It is what differentiates a man. It is the secret of Supernatural existence. God is liberal but does not just pour out the anointing upon men just like that. There are criterial that qualifies you for it. Some of the criterial amongst others are:
1. Absolute abandonement: David was left in the bush. He was totally abandoned. This is revealed when Prophet Samuel came to anoint him. Even his father didnt remember that he existed. This is the major picture of the life of the anointed. You must be left alone. Leave every other thing.
2. Be a Servant: Psalm 89:20 says that "I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him." Anointing is for Servants and Servants are those who has given his all to serve. Nothing leaves God into your life until something leaves you unto Him. Your willingness ti serve God equals God's readiness to anoint you.
3. Be humble: Humility is a major channel to the flow of the anointing (James 4:6)
4. Pay the price: The anointing is not some cheap, it must cost you something real. It will cost you time, effort and dedication to God. Being in constant fellowship with God is costly. It will even cost you some friends and relationships. Every great man and woman of God has willingly paid the price for the anointing on their lives. The greater the cost the more anointing will flow.
5. It must be founded and grounded in love: The more you love God, the more you will be able to love His people, as well as the lost. Love is the bedrock for the anointing. Most times the healing anointing flow through Jesus to the people when compassion flows.
I pray for you, may the anointing from heaven come upon you heavily in Jesus' name.

God is liberal but does not just pour out the anointing upon men just like that. There are criterial that qualifies you for it. Some of the criterial amongst others are:
1. Absolute abandonement: David was left in the bush. He was totally abandoned. This is revealed when Prophet Samuel came to anoint him. Even his father didnt remember that he existed. This is the major picture of the life of the anointed. You must be left alone. Leave every other thing.
2. Be a Servant: Psalm 89:20 says that "I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him." Anointing is for Servants and Servants are those who has given his all to serve. Nothing leaves God into your life until something leaves you unto Him. Your willingness ti serve God equals God's readiness to anoint you.
3. Be humble: Humility is a major channel to the flow of the anointing (James 4:6)
4. Pay the price: The anointing is not some cheap, it must cost you something real. It will cost you time, effort and dedication to God. Being in constant fellowship with God is costly. It will even cost you some friends and relationships. Every great man and woman of God has willingly paid the price for the anointing on their lives. The greater the cost the more anointing will flow.
5. It must be founded and grounded in love: The more you love God, the more you will be able to love His people, as well as the lost. Love is the bedrock for the anointing. Most times the healing anointing flow through Jesus to the people when compassion flows.
I pray for you, may the anointing from heaven come upon you heavily in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: OPEN MY EYES
SCRIPTURE: Then Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!" The LORD opened the young man's eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire - 2 Kings 6:17
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 119:18
DIGGING DEEEP: As a child of God, you operate within two realms which are the physical and the Spiritual. Interestingly, these two are not totally separated from each other. Infact the spiritual determines the physical. I mean the spiritual realm is the determinant of the activities of the physical realm.
One of the biggest and most evident spiritual pathologies amongst believers is the inability to see through the eyes of the Spirit.
Let's examine three types of sight in the Spirit:
1. Total blindness: John 12:40 "He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and i should heal them." This is a state of complete inability to connect to Spiritual realities and truth. There are believers today who can't see nor understand what the Lord is saying. This type of people have hardened heart, lack understanding, and are not fully converted.
2. Partial Blindness: These are those who have little light in them.
3. Full sight: These are those whose heart is full of Illumination. They are open to the word of God and Heaven literally breaks open unto them.
Our text showed us that no matter the equipments and regimement of darkness arrainged against you, if you know and see what God has sorrounded you with, you won't fret nor give up. If you know what God has sorrounded you with, you won't surrender to depression, low levels, failure, disappointment, poverty, faithlessness and cowardice. Instead you will wake up in faith and dare the enemy to its marrow.
Finally, it is very important that you have a spiritual eyes that sees, so that you will survive in this dark age.
I pray that your eyes becomes full of light in Jesus' name.

SCRIPTURE: [24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain - I Cor. 9:24
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 108:13
DIGGING DEEEP: The Message Bible states our anchor Scripture this way "You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win." In essence you are enjoined to run to win, not even the second best is good enough. As a child of God, if participation is required winning should be your goal.
There is nothing to gain if there is nothing to run for. The link between obtaining your goal and not obtaining it is in what you do. If you are doing nothing, you will obtain nothing. What you are doing is the pay check for what you want to obtain. Until you keep at it, you can't keep up with it.
Today there are so many people on the spectator stand than on the track itself. They only prefer to clap and cheer rather than participate in the race itself. That is why you will hear people say "this spiritual thing is for the pastors" or "i am not called into ministry" and all sort of comments. That is why many are prayer seekers, prophecy mongers and are not power carriers. It is the same reason why many lack supernatural encounter because instead of engaging they are retreating. Instead of participating in the supernatural they merely watch it. Also there are folks who wish for everything and do nothing. These can't obtain what God has freely given.
Beloved, the goal of been alive is to get into heaven in the end, the reason why God gave you dreams is to accomplish it, the purpose you have a destiny is to fulfil it and the reason Jesus came is to have koinonia (intimacy and partnership with God). And all will of these will require commitment and action.
Finally, the gold is obtainable if dedication to the race is in view.
Recieve grace to achieve whatever God has for you in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord, i refuse to be a spectator but a participator in the race to destiny in Jesus' name.
