TOPIC: THE MARKS OF THE LORD JESUS
SCRIPTURE: From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus - Galatians 6:17
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 5:17
DIGGING DEEEP: A mark is an impression that gives one a unique distinguishing trait, quality or feature.
Marks are meant for identification and indication of ownership.
Every one that is throughly born again is a child of God and by implication, belong to Christ (Mark 9:41,Romans 8:16). This indivudual carries an identifiable mark on him.
What are the marks of the Lord Jesus? Lets look at a few:
1. THE MARK OF FAITHFULNESS: One distinguishing trait or quality that indicates one's ownership by the Lord Jesus is faithfulness. Check out the Apostles they were faithful even unto death. In torture they remained faithful, nothing could change them from serving and chasing after the things of the kingdom. Everyone that belongs to Christ is expected to be faithful in prayer, in tithes and offerings, in studying the word of God, in your marital relationship, general human relations and in service to God.
2. THE MARK OF OBEDIENCE: Obedience is a show of total surrender. It is putting God's principles first and above all in your life. It is living your life patterned according to the will of God. Everyone who bears this mark on them reverence God and wouldn't do what God hates.
3. THE MARK OF LOVE: God is love and as His children this is our trait. The world was hostile to Jesus Christ but He loved man all the same. Love is the expression of the nature of God in you. It destroys hatred from your heart, restrains you and compels you to be in comformity with Gods laws and will. There is no coveteousness, resentment, indignation or revenge in love. Love forgives and does not backbite. Love is patient and kind.
Finally, Christ in us gives us a whole new different identity, character and personality. Acts 4:13 says
"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordiny men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." The mark of Christ on you is the expression of the impression of your encounter with Christ. To the point that your life becomes an epistle unto others.
I pray for you today, may the traits of righteousness and holiness find full expression in your life in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: BOOSTERS OF PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God - Philippians 4:6
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 43:5
DIGGING DEEEP: A booster is anything that promotes someone or an activity. A booster can be seen as a catalyst to a process or anything that causes improvement and make a thing work better. Also it is a device for increasing force and makes a device more effective and efficient. Prayer Boosters, therefore, are those things that increases the effectiveness and efficiency and force of our prayer life. And one of those boosters of prayer is the peace of God in our hearts.
Our anchor Scripture says be anxious for nothing, but in everything pray and make it known to God. It is a known fact that the state of our mind influences our prayer power either positively or negatively. And one of the the tools of the enemy is to make sure that people sink into the circumstances in the external so that they loose touch with the force of God in their spirit man to enforce the change.
David was in such predicament, one day he went out to battle. But the enemy went behind and invaded Ziklag burnt it down and held everyone captive. Everyone one soldier that went with him became perplexed, angry, cried and they wanted to stone him to death. Even though he was in despair and perplexed he went in to pray unto God. His prayer fire was not affected by the physical realities. As he inquired from God in the place of prayer, he recieved assurance, direction and fresh grace to pursue, overtake and recover all that the enemy had stolen (1 Samuel 30:1-20).
The following are the ways in which the peace of God in our heart amplifies our prayer:
1. Peace amplifies our faith: The crisis around might be heart rending but if you allow the peace of God to flow and dethrone anxiety, you will discover that faith begins to build up in you. And faith is a major enhancer of our prayer force.
2. Peace in our heart increases the joy of the Lord in us which is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10 ): In essence, peace can stimulate inner strength to pray and not sit complaining about everything.
Perplexity collapses the heart and increases susceptibility to the enemy but peace increases your immunity against the enemy.
Beloved, if the devil can trap your mind with the marauding events of life, so much that you can't pray any more then anything can happen. But i pray with you right now, no matter the circumstances of evil fighting your life, no matter the crisis (be it financial, marital, job and so on) around your life, it is destroyed now in Jesus' name.
3. Peace sponsors hope: Psalm 43:5 says "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Hope is the fuel for seeking and asking in praying. God does not look away from those whose hope is totally fixed upon Him.
Finally, when you hand over your worries to God, you are simply saying that "God worry about my worries." And when God worry about your worry it is all dissolved in a hurry.
I see your life changing and your prayer life is receiving boost right now in Jesus name.
PRAYER: O Lord i submit all my worries to you handle them by Yourself in Jesus' name.

EARNEST PRAYER

TOPIC: EARNEST PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: …The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
James 5:16, AMP
MEMORY VERSE: Luke 22:44
DIGGING DEEEP: Prayer gives you a sort of mechanical advantage. Prayer is voyage into the supernatural. Prayer is more than words. It is interaction of our soul with God. When you actively and constantly interact with God, you easily counteract the devil. A man of prayer is a man of great power because prayer brings you to the arena of God. God is all powerful and you can't associate with Him and not carry some measure of power. Our text says that when a righteous prays tremendous power is made available. When ordinary men come arround the environment of a righteous man who prays, they feel the power of God. For instance Jesus prayed before the tomb of Lazarrus (John 11:41-44) the ressurection power showed up. Abraham prayed for Abimelech, healing power landed upon him and his household and the chains of barreness was destroyed (Genesis 20:17). As a child of God, you can pray and release the energy of heaven here on earth.
What does earnest prayers entails?
1. It entails praying with your heart in it: One of satans strategy is to distract you while praying. Some folks while praying still pick up phone calls, chat on whatsapp or they are praying but their heart keeps wandering from one thing to another. It must be heartfelt (deep within you). You must be passionate about it. It is not just a mouthed prayer but a prayer that is deep in the heart. Hannah prayed with her heart in it, she looked drunk in the place of prayer. When your heart is in it, there is little or no restriction, you will be broken and prayer pours out like a broken dam; and flows uncontrollably. When your heart is not in it, you can't communicate hence you won't recieve answers from God.
2. It entails praying with all seriousness: Prayer sessions are very serious moments with God. There is a thin line between praying and playing. There are people who don't take prayers seriously! Hence they are playing prayer people (ppp). You can't command Divine attention when you are joking with and at the place of prayer. For instance there are people who during prayer sessions in church service just open their eyes make jest and laugh at how others are praying. This robs people of the blessings of prayer.
3. It entails praying with intense focus: Focus is a major key to praying earnestly. For example when you focus a magnifying lens on a sheet of paper, it directs energy from the sun on the paper, so it burns. So it is in the place of prayer. When you pray with focus you concentrate the power of God on the request and it will burn into answers.
4. It is prayer wired up in faith: Elijah made the declaration of no rain for three and a half years (1 Kings 17:1) in faith. He upheld it in the place of prayer. Nothing rubber stamps faith declarations like prayer.
Finally, an earnest prayer carries great spiritual gravity, it pulls weight, it is done with all zealousness and determination.
PRAYER: O Lord, give me results when i pray in Jesus' Name.

PROFIT FROM THE WORD

TOPIC: PROFIT FROM THE WORD
SCRIPTURE: For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it - Hebrews 4:2
MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 48:17
DIGGING DEEEP: Our anchor Scripture reveals that the word of God is designed to pull up profit out of our lives. Infact mere listening to the word of God must turn our lives around. To profit means that:
a. The word of God has the capacity to increase your value and worth: Encounter with the word of God is able to balance, change and improve your whole life. People who knew you before must be able to see the difference the word has and is creating in your life.
b. When you trade (engage) with the word benefits comes into your life: In other words wordlessness is equal to gainlessness. For example, when you trade with the word of God, it extracts your fear and gives you faith, it removes your pain and gives you joy, it removes any bleakness in your life and destiny, then turns it into great possibilities and so on.
Why is it that people don't enjoy profit from the word of God?
1. Wrong Approach: When you approach the Bible as a religious book or creed you can't profit from it.
2. Familiarity With The Word: Many are so used to the Bible that they can't access life from it again. I have even heard Pastors say "well, i have been preaching this Bible for years now and there's nothing you can tell me that i don't know." I agree that you might be acquainted with the letter but certainly not with the Spirit. Understand that information is not as powerful as revelation and Illumination.
3. Refusing The Entrance Of The Word: It is the entrance of the word that gives light. For instance you can never be satisfied by merely inhaling the aroma of a delicious meal. It is the entrance of the food that ends hunger.
4. No Faith Syndrome: The efficacy of the word is activated when it is mixed with faith. If you mix the word with doubt or you will recieve no result. The word only yields when mixed with faith. Faith is the fertilizer at the root of God's word in our lives.
5. Carelessness with the word: The word of God should not be taken casually nor lightly.
Finally, it is the entrance of God's word into your spirit that generates all the difference.
PRAYER: O Lord, may your word yield fruit in me and make me different anywhere i find myself in Jesus' name.

OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF SLUMBER

TOPIC: OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF SLUMBER
SCRIPTURE: Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light - Ephesians 5:14
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 132:4
DIGGING DEEEP: One day during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, three of His disciples, Peter, James and John, accompanied Him to go and pray. Right there, the spirit of slumber rendered the apostles helpless at the altar of prayers. (Matthew 26:36-43). While Jesus was praying, they were sleeping. And this is the story of some Christians today, while others are praying they are sleeping. When others are active in service and study of the word they are sleeping away.
Beloved when i talk of sleep i am not just reffering to biological sleep but Spiritual sleep. A state of spiritual inactiveness and been at ease. Scripture says that woe unto them that are at ease in Zion (Amos 6:1). In other words, to remain inactive and sleepy in the place of prayer is dangerous.
One of satan's strategy to weaken fervency of prayer is the introduction of sleep. You can be awake for any other thing but when it comes to the study of the word and prayers you yawn away and you just sleep off.
All of these are satanic attempts to disconnect your spirit-man from communing with the Lord.
Three implications of spiritual sleep:
1. It gives access to evil seeds: Matthew 13:15 says "But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away." Nothing corrupts like spiritual sleep. It is the platform on which the enemy thrives to plant his ideas and control lives.
2. Empowers the ministry of the enemy: A thief is most powerful at night because most people are in an inactive state. The devil is a thief and his activities is to steal, kill and to destroy (John 10:10). These are empowered when men sleep.
3. You easily miss your hour of visitation if the spirit of slumber keep harassing you (Mark 13:35-37).
Jacob was awake and wrestled his way into change. His name was changed, hence his identity changed. Prayer is an identity changer. The more you pray the more your life changes. Because a true God encounter won't leave you the way you were met.
To overcome the spirit of slumber, you must learn to be earnest in the place of prayer. That means that let your mind, and the whole of you be literally assembled in one place, focused on God and mean business with God at all cost.
Prayer coming from your heart keeps you active at the place of prayer. When your heart is involved, the spirit of slumber is helpless.
I pray for you today, that spirit harassing your prayer altar is arrested now in Jesus' name.

TOPIC: OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF SLUMBER
SCRIPTURE: Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light - Ephesians 5:14
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 132:4
DIGGING DEEEP: One day during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, three of His disciples, Peter, James and John, accompanied Him to go and pray. Right there, the spirit of slumber rendered the apostles helpless at the altar of prayers. (Matthew 26:36-43). While Jesus was praying, they were sleeping. And this is the story of some Christians today, while others are praying they are sleeping. When others are active in service and study of the word they are sleeping away.
Beloved when i talk of sleep i am not just reffering to biological sleep but Spiritual sleep. A state of spiritual inactiveness and been at ease. Scripture says that woe unto them that are at ease in Zion (Amos 6:1). In other words, to remain inactive and sleepy in the place of prayer is dangerous.
One of satan's strategy to weaken fervency of prayer is the introduction of sleep. You can be awake for any other thing but when it comes to the study of the word and prayers you yawn away and you just sleep off.
All of these are satanic attempts to disconnect your spirit-man from communing with the Lord.
Three implications of spiritual sleep:
1. It gives access to evil seeds: Matthew 13:15 says "But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away." Nothing corrupts like spiritual sleep. It is the platform on which the enemy thrives to plant his ideas and control lives.
2. Empowers the ministry of the enemy: A thief is most powerful at night because most people are in an inactive state. The devil is a thief and his activities is to steal, kill and to destroy (John 10:10). These are empowered when men sleep.
3. You easily miss your hour of visitation if the spirit of slumber keep harassing you (Mark 13:35-37).
Jacob was awake and wrestled his way into change. His name was changed, hence his identity changed. Prayer is an identity changer. The more you pray the more your life changes. Because a true God encounter won't leave you the way you were met.

TOPIC: THE SECRET PLACE
SCRIPTURE: The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant - Psalm 25:14
MEMORY VERSE: Jeremiah 33:3
DIGGING DEEEP: The secret place of the most High is not just a promise to claim but a responsibility to engage. It is to be worked towards. Access to His presence is more than attending church services. It is a personal koinonia (intimacy and partnership) with God. For instance if the President of the United States grants you audience to see him, by seeing him does not give you insight into his secret. You will merely relate and take pictures just for memory sake and a prove of having contact with Mr President. But do you know that there are those who have deeper access and relate with him than just been the President? These ones don't need to take pictures for memory sake they already got him. That is how it plays out with God. There are so many folks who are just interested in the ecstacy and joy of been around Gods presence, they only celebrate the miracles and all that His hands can do. They have refferences to show the many works of God but they haven't gotten Him.
So how can one get into the secret place of God?
1. DON'T BE MERELY ACQUAINTED WITH GOD, BE DEEP WITH HIM: Acquaintance is a superficial and mere familiarity with God and the things of God. To be deeply into God is the first key to the secret place of God.
2. GET HIS HEART: 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? (Numbers 12:6-8)
Do you see that? Moses was deep into God, so God could not communicate to him only by dreams and visions. God comes to speak with him mouth to mouth, face to face, and heart to heart. You can't get Gods' heart and not see His hands manifest in your life. Don't just look for Gods' hand seek His heart.
3. UNDERSTAND HIS PERSONALITY: This will reveal to you what God likes and what He dislikes. Understand that your personality is a major decider of the kind of relationship you will attract. Sotherefore, one of the personality of God is that He is not like man that He should lie, hence anything that is a mark of untruthfulness in you must be uprooted to get into the secret place of God. He is faithful, you must be faithful. People who are unfaithful do not get the best out of the relationship they are into, so it is with our relationship with God. To get the best from God, you must solidify your relationship with Him.
What is then the secret place of the Most High
a. It is the place of high profile information: Secrets are only spoken to you in the secret place. Beloved, there is a high profile information about your destiny, about your life, about events, people, places and so on that we can't have access into unless we are in the secret place. So no secret place encounter no secret revealed.
b. It is the place where mysteries are revealed: Mysteries from God ends myseries of life. Mystery from God gives you mastery on earth.
c. It is a realm of uncommon information and insight from God: Illumination from the word is possible in the secret place.
I pray for you, every lack of access is broken today in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: My Father my Lord show me secrets that others don't know in Jesus' name.

CREATED FOR GOOD WORK

TOPIC: CREATED FOR GOOD WORK
SCRIPTURE: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them -Ephesians 2:10 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Samuel 15:22
DIGGING DEEP: There is more to been born again than just making it to heaven. Heaven is the goal but good works is the purpose. When you become born again, you are now a citizen of heaven but you have residency on earth. So you don't live according to the pattern of this world but according to kingdom pattern. I want you to know that life lived out side God might seem good, that individual might seem to be doing all the right things, but since it is not done in God on the last day it will be worthless. Accepting Jesus is the only way everything done in this earthen body will be valid before God.
Our text shows three us (3) things:
a. GOD'S PRODUCT: "For we are his workmanship..." This means that God crafted us and has placed us in the show room of life to exhibit who He is to the world. When the world sees us they should see Jesus. We are a product of grace.
b. NEW CREATION: "...created in Christ Jesus..." This is to be a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
c. GOOD WORKS: "...unto good works..." Without Jesus, spiritually we a bundle of trash and are children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3) hence no good thing can emanate from us. In Christ Jesus we are created for good works. What then is good works?
1. Good works is one done in faith: Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him..."
Sotherefore for works to be good and pleasing unto God, it must be done in faith.
2. Good works is one done to glorify God: Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." This implies that good works that glorifies self, smoothens our ego and name is not it. Our good works must cause men to honour and glorify God. Everything we do must bring God to the centre and not man to the centre.
3. Good works is one done in obedience to Gods command: 1 Samuel 15:22 says that "...Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." Doing good works and not obeying God is a mere sacrifice. What satisfies God is obedience. When sacrifice is mixed with obedience then it becomes much more pleasing to God. There are Pastors, Christians and so on who sacrifice their time, their resources but lack obedience to the laws of God. Such service is worthless. Good works makes sense when it fits into the parameters of Divine instructions and demand.
4. Good works is done only on the bedrock of salvation: Accepting Jesus as Lord of your life translates your works from just been good in the eyes of men to become good in the sight of God.
I pray that you will manifest God to the world in Jesus' name.
PRAYER: O Lord, i ask for grace to do things that is pleasing unto you in Jesus' name.
